Thanks to my nephew pestering me about getting it and the sale, I finally picked up a COD game (last one was COD MW2 2009).

I have honestly fun with it, guess thanks to not owning a COD game for + 10 years.

The PVE mode is fine aswell and I enjoy the idea that by just playing the game the battlepass goes up and that it has a ton of unlockables.

Campaign is so boring tho.

I think I might get back into cod once it hits gamepass. I haven’t been a yearly buyer of it since 2012 but if it’s on gamepass I don’t have to worry about that $70

The vast majority of Hello Neighbor players are between 8 and 16 years old, even the developers admit that. Hardly the crowd that can buy new consoles.
Also as criss mentioned, the game is mainly a hit on smartphones with 10+ million downloads on Android and probably the same amount on iOS.
The game on mobile is free btw. and includes the first act. You only have to pay for the other acts.

I remember when I threw a temper tantrum at the store for a game I wanted. Parents' didn't buy me shit and I looked like an asshole.

So Warzone 2 and MW2 are both 2022?

Interesting Infinity Ward is leading both, I'm assuming Warzone 2 post launch will be dumped on Raven though.

Wonder how long Warzone lasts before being shutdown.

Also I bet Microsoft desperately wants the deal closed before MW2 so they can get it into Game Pass on launch without paying a separate huge amount

We stan'in CoD now that it's back on Xbox? Maybe Noble can come home now.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that, Sony's CoD marketing deal is still in place through the end of 2023, and we've heard that Sony has put non-competition clauses into their marketing deal contracts in the past, stating that the developer can't put the game into competing services like Games with Gold, Gamepass, Stadia Pro, Luna+, and Epic's weekly free game promotions for at least 1 year after release.

If Sony has such a contract in place here, maybe Microsoft would buy their way out of it, but I doubt they would, considering they weren't willing to buy Sony out of timed exclusivity on Deathloop or Ghostwire Tokyo.

This is what I was under the impression of, unless they did buyout that clause or whatever. Not going to pretend I know that though.

I remember when I threw a temper tantrum at the mall, shortly after first moving from Germany to Florida. I really wanted some random Pokemon toy I saw, and my parents refused to buy it for me. Since I was being a little bitch, they kept it moving after a while, went about their business at the mall, while I stayed at the spot with the toy. Eventually, a mall cop brought me to some back office and asked me where my parents were. I obviously had no idea at this point, beyond them being somewhere in the mall. The personnel there took this to mean that my parents rudely abandoned me, gave me a bunch of free Pokemon related stuff, called my parents up, and then yelled at them for leaving a child unattended in a big shopping mall.

Good times.

Edge of Eternity is a lot more rough than I expected it to be. What a shame.

Even in performance mode there are noticeable dips. It's really not that pretty either. Very rough animations and simple character face models and low res textures.
So far the voice acting has been the only stand out aspect of the game - and that's only because they're usually quite bad in JRPGs. (I know the game's not Japanese)

I've only completed the intro which is around 1 hour. There's also no way to save before that and I don't think it's using autosaves so I was pretty much forced to finish the intro and then look for a save spot.

Good thing to know that I should wait for a patch but honestly, it's not very high on my list anymore. Guess I have to find something else.
