I also don't think Microsoft will be acquiring anyone until the Activision-Blizzard acquisition closes anyway, I don't think they'll want to rock the boat with regulatory bodies, I'm certain it will pass but it will be grilled and there's no need to add more pressure.

Damn, y'all Xbots are never satisfied. Already talking about who MS is going to buy next when the dust hasn't even settled on the Activision/Blizzard aquisition. DISPICABLE

JRPG and Fighting are two genres I don't care in the slightest. So I'm good if there's nomore acquisitions. There's already so much to play while waiting for this brigade of studios to start firing. Good times ahead.

Been playing Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for the first time ever. 60fps is so good would've never played this otherwise. Quite a boring list of achievements though.

I would actually find it hilarious if MS bought Sega. The Atlus fans would have absolute meltdowns.

Lol wut.

Not sure if serious.

XB1 classic edition of FC 3 did not have an FPS boost. It was rough af.

Weird, it's on the FPS boost list I was just looking at. All of the XB1 released Far Cry's are on that list in fact, with the sole exception being the recent port of Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, which is apparently 30 fps even on Xbox Series and PS5, smh.

I think that might be the BC 360 version. Because it was definitely not 60 on the classic. It's night and day between FC 3 and 4.

Don't you have a Cowboys game to sim in Madden?

Hope Jerry Jones stays with your franchise forever.

As far as western studios go, I think anyone still asking Microsoft to acquire more publishers needs slow down a bit. In my opinion, they really need to focus on integrating what they have and getting a good content release cadence established.

If they were going to acquire another publisher, my only hope would be that it would be Japanese. It’s the one hole in their current content roster, they have more or less everything else that they need.

I would say that it does not have to be a Japanese publisher but also say it does not have to be Western one either.  The portfolio MS is building is for a diverse audience so any Dev or publisher is on the menu and not limited to just Western and Japan.

You are probably right, and I’m probably just letting personal preferences get in the way.

I will say this much though: 2 years ago, there were 6 major western publishers in the industry (ABK, EA, Embracer, Take-Two, Ubisoft, Zenimax) and Microsoft has already brought two into the fold. If you are at all interested in western games output, I don’t know why you wouldn’t at a minimum own a cheaper gaming PC or Series S as a side device, and at a maximum fully move over to the MS ecosystem. In my personal opinion I think a Japanese publisher would go the farthest to bolstering content diversity and selling fence sitters on moving over
