I would think that is to quell the monopoly talk from the opposition.



...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

PC Launchers

There is a possibility that Battle.net is either closed in favor of the Xbox PC app, or somehow absorbed into the Xbox PC app. This has huge implications for Xbox on PC

OMG please no. You dunno how mediocre the xbox pc app is. I use it for gamepass and it is at best tolerable.

Not comparable at all.
Psychonauts 2 was a crowdfunding project so cancelling the promised versions would've given them troble from the fans, maybe even legal trouble. Not worth it.

Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 obviously aren't, so a PS version could be cancelled at any time. MS owns nobody here so there's no point in honoring platform announcements. Thing is, the deal will close during FY2023 so by that time, Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 might've already released. Since Activision can't be sure that the deal will go through, it would be pretty stupid of them to cancel any non PC/Xbox versions.

Did they even announce platforms for Diablo 4 and overwatch 2? I don't think they did for STarfield and Elder Scrolls and we know how that ends.
