Hopefully this is true. I mean if he were to be fired it's not like it's going to be announced today... They are still independent and i think I read the deal finalizes June 2023.

Just nuts. Honestly, of all the potential deals, knowing that MS was very adamant about being in the market for more studios to strengthen their gaming business...Activision was never even remotely on my radar of companies they might acquire.

In hindsight, that was perhaps foolish of me, considering the commitment that MS has shown towards gaming, and GP specifically. CoD is a massive incentive all on it's own if your goal is truly to make GP the indisputable home of the larger casual gaming audience.

Ehh, don't get me wrong, but I feel like this acquisition is a bit off. Not sure if I'm happy about it. Activision is heavily overvalued IMO. They basically have nothing except COD at this point and they cost almost 10 times more than Bethesda did which has a lot of IPs to work on. Yes, I know that Overwatch 2 is coming and some point. WoW is quite big in it's own niche and Diablo 4 is also coming. But it's unclear whether these games would be any good. I just think that such enormous amount of money can be better spent elsewhere. To me it feels like Microsoft just wants to sit on Activision's constant flow of cash from COD and mobile games business. But in general, this acquisition won't do much for Xbox/PC gaming. Not to mention that ActiBlizz lost all it's reputation last year.

P.S. Rod Ferguson and Mike Ybarra couldn't escape Xbox after all
P.P.S. Bobby should be fired simply because of his enormous salary and bonuses. Would be a total money waste for Phil to pay for his yachts at the expense of gaming budget.
