Random questions to try wake this thread up, I don't think we're getting any Microsoft announcements this week due to it being Deathloop's week.

  1. Do you think it is important for Microsoft to get exclusive licensed IP from major brands such as Marvel, DC or LucasArts or should they focus on growing their own original IP as Sony has done across the years?
  2. If you could pick any Marvel IP for Xbox to have, other than Spider-Man or Wolverine as they're already being used by Sony, which would you want the most?
  3. If you could pick any DC IP for Xbox to have, other than Batman as that is already with Rocksteady, which would you want the most?
  • Try to pick based on what you would want the most and not what would help Xbox the most, it can be any IP other than the exceptions above, from the massive ones to very obscure ones.

1. They are getting India Jones, which is a great get. If they really want something, Star Wars RPG would be a huge get for them.

2. Black Panther

3. Probably Starfire

If MS are able to get X-Men it would be big, other Marvel characters that I would love to see get their own games would be Blade, Ghost Rider, DareDevil, Dr Strange and Nova.

For DC Teen Titans would be my #1, Aquaman and Wonder Woman have the biggest potential as solo games imo as they can explore unique settings related to the characters.

1. I’d like to see a game recreation of the last season of Game of Thrones (Only on Xbox). It shouldn’t be too difficult to make it better than the tv series finale.

2. Punisher. It’s simple, I enjoy street turf war games. It’s a little like GTA or Scarface. Drive up, get out of your car, point weapon, toss grenades, get back in car, head to the next corner. Simple fun game loop with potential to add helicopters.

3. DC: Rorschach. (See punisher above) Although not totally a DC character, Watchmen have been doing crossovers with DC since 2016.

I'd prefer original IPs to licenced I guess. And I pretty much dislike everything Marvel so I wouldn't play those games. Batman universe is cool though but I'm not a fan of DC superhero stuff either. Superman is especially wank.

If they'd do a licenced IP based on comic books I'd fancy Lucky Luke. There's never enough western games either.

The delayed game is Battlefield.

1) Yes, I would get a few to at least have some of the genres on your platform, no need for just Sony to take that pie.
2) Black Widow
3) Wonder Woman

No, I hope Microsoft stay away from licensed IP as much as possible especially the superhero stuff. Developing original IP and creating new worlds is far more exciting than taking a license purely to remove risk that comes with creating new IP's and restricting yourself upon it.

I think it wasn't mentioned here but Dying Light 2 got delayed to February 4 to no one's surprise. Was somewhat obvious after Halo Infinite release date

This week's Free Play Days:

I will try to finish Judgment. Won't be easy as it's about 25 hours long but I might be able to do it. On the other hand, it will probably come to Game Pass soon so even if I can't finish it this week, I will in a few months.
