This a fun undertaking, though I wouldn't have the time for such an amount of movies. I also don't have Skyfall and Spectre (have all the others on DVD or Blue Ray, which would be a hassle), nor does Netflix stream any (here at least), so I'm afraid I can't partake.

As for the poll, tough question. Every Bond had their ups and downs. Connery is iconic, but I liked the newer movies more. Casino Royale is my favorite. Also liked GoldenEye and Skyfall. Of the classic movies I'd say The Spy Who Loved Me is my favorite. Also liked Goldfinger and Moonraker as sort of a guilty pleasure because it makes no sense at all. Getting back to Bond himself like I said all have their ups and downs so it's pretty close, but maybe for a highest average I'd actually pick Pierce Brosnan.

I hope to god that my memory didn't mistake Pee-Wee Herman for James Bond. Please tell me there's a bond movie that ends at a drive-in movie theater. D:

I'm in. My favourite is Brosnan. Partly because I like the modern Bonds more than the old ones. Although the ones with Craig don't always feel like a Bond movie.

I'll try my best to participate. I'll have to get my box set down from the attic.

As for favourite Bond:

- Connery is the best in my eyes. He seems the most convincing and comfortable to me, and it helps he's in a lot of the best films.
- Conversely, Lazenby looked a little uncomfortable as Bond, although he never had a chance to make his mark.
- Moore is ace, I love the humour he brought to the character. He was far too old for his last few films though.
- Dalton is a bit bland and forgettable.
- Brosnan was the Bond I grew up with. I think he was good for the role - probably tied second with Moore.
- Craig is middle tier, amazing first role but I think he's fallen victim to his films trying to fit into the MI / Bourne mould.

Another benefit of Dalton is that he seems to most closely fit the Ian Fleming Bond of the books.

I might have a bit of a bias because Dalton was the one playing Bond around the time I got into the franchise. It was also the period where I found the Bond films transformed from the old classic Bond style to the modern form: grittier, darker, more serious. Also, there was a notable jump in production value during the Dalton era.

I always found it a shame that the studio had too many issues, I'd have liked to see at least 2 more Dalton films. That's, unfortunately, been the plague of modern Bond films: studio problems.

And it's a little known fact that Connery COULD have been Gandalf. Although, it's difficult to imagine Ian McKellen not in the role

I just finished watching Dr. No.

It was amusing. It feels like a parody of spy movie cliches, but then you realize this movie pretty much created all of them in the first place. It's amazing to think this is almost 60 years old.

PSA: Since my own DVD crapped out halfway through the film (why buy anything?!!), Dr. No is available for free on PlutoTV, a free streaming service. PlutoTV has the film on demand unedited however there may be some commercial breaks spliced in. I only got one and it was while I was fast forwarding to where I left off.
