Anyone know the game Freelancer? I could imagine a Star Fox inspired by that game.

The one made by Digital Anvil and was developed by Chris Roberts who is making StarCitizen? And that Microsoft shut down it's servers and mods like Discovery Freelancer came about?

Nope. Don't know a thing. Haha
Absolutely love that game, spent probably a few hundred hours playing it online back in the day.

Freelancer was inspired by Starlancer and Wing Commander though, Wing Commander probably did help inspire StarFox to a degree, it was one of the big "space sims" back in the day.

Yes probably that one, you seem to know a lot more about it than me.

I think it’s a bit obscure now, but I played that game a bunch when it was new. I really liked the concept, and approaching planets was really exciting. I never got really good at it though so I stopped playing after some point when I was unable to finish a mission anymore.

You should give Discovery Freelancer ago... Still a very active community playing the game.
They mix some role-playing elements into the game and expanded upon the game rather massively.

Seeing dozens of players in giant capital ships duking it out against other factions is extremely satisfying.

Super Famicom for me

That would be SNES, or Super Famicom (in Japan).

Wii U because it's SO gimmicky <3

Metroid Prime, though.

But really, the big difference is just the hardware. N64 games were good, but they run like shit and playing them on that atrocious controller made the whole experience a nightmare. They've also aged far worse than GameCube games in general.

They didn’t though.

I still like Ocarina of Time better than Wind Waker;

I still like Star Fox 64 better than Adventures or Assault;

And I still like Mario 64 better than Sunshine.

Same here, except for SF that I don't have played any game of that franchise.
