Forums - General Discussion - [Update] One year since surgery, scans say I am cancer free

My first post-op scans came back clean!

Far out, I cannot overstate the relief I feel.

I'll be getting these scans every four months for the next several years to keep an eye on it, but for now, it looks like I might just have beaten it!

Thank you all for your kind words and support, it means a lot to me.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

As someone that has to deal with anxiety as well, I know how you feel.

Having to wait a few days for something like a medical result can be such a pain in the butt. But I'm very happy to know that everything is going well for you!

Amazing news! Congratulations, curl!

Please excuse my bad English.

That's great, Curl! I was confident that you were going to get awesome news ;). Stay vigilant, keep active, and you've got this!

Currently Playing (So the world might be mended):

PlayStation 4: PlayStation 3: PlayStation Portable: PlayStation Vita:
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (Raid Mode) Tokyo Jungle Valkyria Chronicles III

Soul Sacrifice: Delta

Transistor (Platinum run) Doom 3: BFG Edition PC:

Natural Doctrine

Salt & Sanctuary Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Death's Gambit
Deadly Premonition: DC Deus Ex: The Fall

Fantastic news; I asked my physiotherapist today whether I'll ever be able to run again; she said while there's no guarantee, she thinks it's a "realistic possibility".

I was gonna try for it regardless of whether she said it was doable or not, but its nice to know the specialist thinks it is!

This is great, my friend! Looks like you are doing a good recovery, keep it up!

Post-op day 210. New milestone: jogged for the first time since surgery!

It was only for a short distance and it was a very wobbly jog, but I did it!

When I had my operation, they couldn’t guarantee that I would ever be able to run again. For the first six weeks afterwards, I couldn’t even walk.

I always had my heart set on running again someday, but I never dared to imagine I’d progress this fast!

Today was a big step forwards; my next milestone, hit a full-blown sprint and feel the wind and the earth race by me once again.

Congratulations on your milestone! That's great!

But remember to take it easy. If you feel some kind of discomfort you should stop and wait for a bit more, there's absolutely no problem on that. But at this rate, I feel like you're going to hit your goal very fast.

Really, I'm very happy for your recovery.

That is wonderful! I bet you can do it faster than your doctors think.

Once again, congratulations curl. We're all happy for your recovery and very proud of your positive attitude .
