Forums - Sony Discussion - Yakuza Developer: "PS5 Has The Best Graphics Ever"

Funny how we see this sentiment from Japanese third parties every gen, and only with Sony consoles.

???

3DS still gets games lol. It's more prevalent on Sony platforms, but there's more small/mid level third party games on the platform. It's to be expected.

No doubts it will be powerful.

But PC will be more powerful, as always. New consoles are not new alien tech that pushes the frontier of computer science. So "Most powerful thing ever" sounds a bit like overhype.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Why the jab on the yakuza team?

The facial features, modeling, emotion and representation on kiwami 2 and yakuza 6 were excellent on the middle age and old dudes.

You made me curious so downloaded the demo of Song of life, it's alright but it certainly isn't making full use of the PS4, even the OG's, full potential now is it anything remarkable. It certainly is a step up from Yakuza0 yet being able to enter a building with no loading screen is only revolutionary for the series, gaming moved past that loooong ago. The facial animations, yes, top notch on that mark, absolutely fantastic, something I thought Yakuza 0 was pretty good at too.

On a side note, in pursuit of the updated visuals with this new engine it lost something in the process. There was a unique feel and vibe to Yakuza 0 thst Yakuza 6 has lost, kinda feels like it was factory made or something like an Ubisoft game, I can't put my finger on it.

Good that you had a nice impression.

And you are right that they pursued some parts and didn't give the same look at it.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Probably because Yakuza isnt being developed for anything else..

But all seriousness, you would hope its a beast

Whether you mean this positively or negatively, it has benefits as PS4 will still probably have engagement. Even Sony expects it for a couple more years though I need to find that source. And with PS4 games being able to run on PS5, it is a win-win for everyone.
