Helps that they're Bethesda the way Bethesda is supposed to be, and not Fallout 76.

Didn't the Switch version of Modern Combat 5 come out poorly?

I find it hard to believe that Modern Combat 5 on Switch would be rated lower then the free-to-play or pay-to-win version on iOS.

Paladins is a fantastic free 2 play FPS overwatch clone on the switch, damn thing has sucked up 500 hours of playtime from me, 60fps locked and it's cross play vs X1 users so the queue times are always fairly short and the game is truely f2p, only cosmetics cost real life money and if you are patient you can even earn that currency in game by playing.

DOOM but honestly Paladins is probably tied with it. Hi-Rez did a great job with this port.

Yes, I too am frustrated at the lack of light gun shooters on Switch.

That's actually the first review I found on Youtube and to my surprise is quite positive. Basically a mobile game ported to Switch with the Free-to-play stuff and microtransactions removed for a proper gaming experience.

My friend at work has been DYING for a CoD style game for the Switch. I'm gonna go ahead and buy this because it looks decent. I want to tell him about it but his mom just passed away a few days ago. Now isn't the time for me to message him.

I dunno.  This may be a perfect time reach out to your friend.  When losing a parent, a diversion, even just to think about a game for two minutes, can be quite welcome.
