What do you mean? I can play Chess on my PC, so why do I have to make a distinction?
You didn't explain why games are different than cinema, music and literature in regards to technological advancement.
Do you really need me to explain to you how much constraints changed from Atari to PS4 and how much more games could do due to this technological advancements? I don't much a book content improved from Old Greeks to today. So on one hand we have gigantic changes on the content and envelope on a 30-40 years window against almost nill change on 3000 years... yes both are certainly either totally independent of technology or evolved continuously.
