Of released games I'm confident at all the current 5M+ sellers will reach 10M in the end.

Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Party is right there and will get there if not by next FY report certainly the one after that.

SMM2, NSMBU DX and LM3 will continue to sell for the reminder of the Switch lifespan. Then there's a few jokers in play like Ring Fit that could reach high levels of sales if they get if they can get enough supply while it's still hot. Minecraft is also a distinct possibility but we'll probably never know that.

As for future releases who knows.. Zelda, Mario, Pokemon games will always be a threat.. then there's the chance for new hits as well ofc.

I wonder if we will ever get minecraft numbers for switch we know it has sold 1.2m Physical copies in Japan probably over 2m including digital since it has always been digital friendly. We know that minecraft is popular globally so selling this amount in Japan would allude to high sales in other regions. It appeals to everyone for instance my three nieces aged 6,8and 11 all got a switch lite for christmas and all have a digital copy of minecraft, I'm certain it's the best selling third party game on switch and by some distance, 10 million sales is a given at some point.

Nintendo have also got a guaranteed 10 million seller if they port over a certain Wii u title, the one that features an overweight plumber and is themed around cats.

Well, it looks more and more like Switch could also have ten 10 million sellers. Nice.

5.37m from 31st October to 31st December, so yeah pretty good chance it'll top 10 million.

Switch now has 9 games over the 10 million mark. One more to match Wii/DS, two more to beat them.

At this point it's pretty much in the bag.

Yeah 11 games is in the bag for sure. 9 games currently, and Luigi's Mansion is a lock to go over 10 million while NSMBU:D almost undoubtedly will as well. So even just with the games currently out it'll hit 11 games eventually.

Add at least one more Pokemon, BotW2, likely another 3D Mario, likely a new 2D Mario means Switch pretty much has a lock on at least fifteen 10+ million sellers.

At this point I think the real question is can it hit 20? That would be super impressive if it got another five 10+ million sellers on top of what we can reasonably expect in terms of mega selling future games on the system. I don't know what those would be exactly, but there certainly are options: maybe a fourth Pokemon, maybe a second Mario Party, maybe Mario 3D World port, maybe a 3D Mario Collections game if the rumors about that are true, maybe a long shot like Mario Maker eventually hitting it, or a third party actually brings out a big AAA game on Switch, or a Switch Sports game in the vein of Wii Sports or hell honestly just a remastered and improved Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort game with online play would probably hit it, or maybe even a hugely updated Splatoon 3 if they are at all thinking about that, or maybe Nintendo will have something brand new, or maybe even a total long shot like a fantastic critically acclaimed new entry to revitalize an old series like Metroid, Star Fox, Kid Icarus or something that blows away previous sells records, and actually now that I think about it I suppose its possible that Minecraft could sell 10 million not that we would ever find out about it probably. That's 11 things that could possibly happen, if 5 of them happen and hit 10 million that puts Switch at twenty 10+ million sellers. A long shot but its possible.
