Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Xenoblade Chronicles X’s Elma revealed for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 + New Torna Footage

Much in the way that Shulk and Fiora from the original Xenoblade Chronicles returned in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Elma from Xenoblade Chronicles X will be returning in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Nintendo gave a first look in a new gameplay video today.

Nintendo hasn’t truly explained how Elma will be appearing. However, the trailer did show Rex and crew battling her as well as the character being used as a Blade.

Noice!Hopefully this means an X port is comming.I mean, it just makes too much sense.

And honestly, Elma looks 100 times better with this art style/incarnation than she does in X

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Swimsuit costumes revealed + new blade Corvin.

She looks a bit off, but neat addition, wish it was free update

Ewwwww. First they ruined *edit almost forgot* Kos-Mos and Telos, then Shulk and Fiora with there terrible art style, now Elma. We got you Monolith Soft, you can make all the characters look terrible. Can you work on XCX2 now please and thank you.

Side note, why does Elma look like that?

This reminds me of how awesome is Elma. I may play X again.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Torna the Golden Country looks really good. 30-40 hours of new content, getting to know Lora and Adam properly, further insight into Jin's development, and getting to see the Aegis War firsthand should be a treat, especially with the QoL tweaks made since the base game.

Now if I only I can open the box and find a cartridge with the whole expansion on it and no need for an additional download, I'll be over the moon.

I think Elma's design translates well to the rendering style.  Better than Shulk who got more of a redesign.

And they kept that appearance probably for spoilers.  Would like it if an alternative outfit would allow her to appear in her final look but I doubt that will happen.

However, I know you have fully and completely dug your heels in on this point about a year and a half ago sooo...

At this point I am pretty confident that will happen.

Also, they confirmed in the gameplay demo that they have indeed smoothed over a lot of the rough edges of the graphics with some moderate improvements.  So I wasn't mistaken in thinking things looked more detailed and clean.  That's cool.

Ooh, I missed that point, rewatching the Gamescom demo now; any idea whereabouts in the video they say so by chance?

I'm not surprised there's room for improvement as the base game was an early Switch title that always seemed like they rushed it a bit to hit the holiday season.
