I think we'll understand even more the "We believe in generations" thing when ps5 reviews drop. Not only about games, but the whole console feeling like a different product. XSX looking like an update and focusing on doing the same things, better. Both very promising, but I'm really into those new features.

I think both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are doing some cool things and naturally the "best approach" will always be subjective.

You're right though that it's getting quite clear what Sony means when they say they believe in generations. New controller, new UI, new design philosophy (across both console, controller and all accessories), new focus (such as 3D audio and minimal loading times which they didn't prioritise last gen).

A new gen only happens once every 7 years and it seems like many people are happy with things feeling a little different.

Warframe over here looking so pretty! And Destruction Allstars looks so fun!

I've only played a tiny bit of Warframe but it seemed like a solid game especially for the price of nothing.

Destruction AllStars could surprise. I wouldn't pay $70 for it but I'll give it a try when it's added to Plus in February.

From PlayStation Blog- no in store purchases on launch day:

https://blog.playstation.com/2020/11/05/playstation-5-launch-day-ordering-update/

I read this as well. Does everyone else have their PS5 secured already? I am scrambling to figure this out, and this is a major bummer for me. What does this mean exactly? Stores can't do curbside pickup either? No overnight lines to try to get the console (which is usually my approach, and one that a certain part of me enjoys doing).

I saw a pre-order being sold for $850 on eBay. I don't know if I'd be able to sleep at night with myself knowing that I overpaid $300 extra just to get a PS5, but right now it seems like it's that or nothing at all for me. :(

My amazon has been confirmed. No word of my gamestop one. If I get that one I'm just going to sell it to a friend at cost. I was never looking to scalp it. I just wanted to make sure I got at least one.

Sent you a friend request ;)
