Firesprite seems like they're being built to be a "mega" studio.

What have they done in the past? Is this good news or bad news?

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Top 6 this generation:
Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, God of War, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Dark Souls III, Red Dead Redemption II, Rock Band 4

Around the Network

They've mainly done games for PSVR and PS4 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firesprite

They're a pretty big studio in Liverpool, UK with 265 people and have a few members from Studio Liverpool (and before that Psygnosis) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psygnosis

I'd probably say its in capable hands.

Persistence and the 2 Playroom games.

They're making the new Horizon VR game.

There's a lot of pedigree at the studio, but they already have 3 titles in development this would make it 4, unless the one title was just very well obfuscated.

I really hope one of the games they're working on is a new WipEout game, but I'll take a new Twisted Metal too lol :P

I want a new wipeout too , Twisted Metal is amazing. Want both.

Hope that doesn't make them juggling to many balls at once.

I might be wrong, but it's probably best to think of them as being like 4x Housemarques/Bluepoint Games.

They're not going after being like Naughty Dog or Sony Santa Monica.

If they have 4 teams working on 4 different games then yes I`m totally fine with it. But if they have like same team working on multiple projects that may turn bad.

And if their 4 teams are doing well and have a good management they can start slowly increasing head count to aim for bigger games.
