Forums - Sony Discussion - Sources: AMD Has Created Navi FOR Sony’s PlayStation 5.

"Hey! Listen!"

For whatever reason, many found Navi annoying but I never understood that viewpoint. Her disruptions were very rare.

Shame on her for going to a Sony console though! No loyalty!

I want PS5 comes in 2020 or 2021

with zen APU (7nm) with 2 X 6 cores = 12 cores with 24 hyper threading enable , and 1 core reserved for with core clock 3,2 Ghz
24 to 32 GB GDDR6 or HBM3 700 Gb/second
Navi based GPU (7nm) with 112 CU (compute unit) with core clock 1550 mhz and can achieve 22 teraflop
2 tera byte hybrid HDD
USB 4.0
Bluetooth version 4.0
2 x USB version 4.0
C-USB or thunderbolt port
Ethernet port
Wireless
Dual layer BD ROM disc up to 60/ layer = 120 GB total , and speed 12 X
DVD Rom speed 24X
CD Rom speed 36X

And price 500 to 550 USD , i don't mind

I think we might see it in late 2019 or early 2020, it will be 7nm navi but with less CU and SP then ur intended target, but higher than 4096 SP and 64 CU. also why do u need thunderbolt port? we might see USB C and GDDR 6 is given. Also correct me if i m wrong PS4 slim and pro already has Bluetooth 4?? why not go for bluetooth 5.0

My wish list of improvement are,  i want enhanced Rumbles or hapticfeed back like the one used for Iphone 7 or nintendo switch, better battery life or fast charge, We might see a touch display on the controllers which nobody wants, instead if given option, I would prefer a DAC integrated into the controller to power any headphones for ultimate audio experience.

As for the console a separate faster onboard storage for recording gameplay in native resolution and frame rate.

Soo most important question of them all, will we finnaly get 60fps as a standart instead of again subpar 30fps

So, PS5 will be a mobile platform confirmed. Otherwise having a Navi wouldn't make any sense

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Phil acknowledged the CPU bottleneck and will look for 60fps on the next xbox, Sony who knows.

High end is currently half of what you want GPU wise. New consoles usually have the specs of high end from a few years ago. If Sony is nice, they'll give us something around 15TF but I wouldn't count on it.

Yeah agree , i might be wrong , bluetooth 5.0 and USB C  should be a standard for PS5

Again agree with u, new HD rumble like in Switch for rumble feature and  haptic feedback touch for dualshock 5 touch pad will be great add. But for touch display i bet it will not be included, but as alternative (third party option ) it's possible.

As for the console a separate faster onboard storage for recording gameplay in native resolution and frame rate.

I would suggest 64 gigabyte or 128 Gigabyte  SSD Nvme on board as cache memory.

That depend on the developer choices, either we get 30 fps and focusing on  graphic quality or 60 fps with more towards performance.

Maybe we just "saw " PS5 in action. I mean, The Last of Us 2 looked unbelievably above anything else in the conference. And no, not even Ghost of Tsushima comes close (but to the fair that's an open world game). Maybe they showed PS5's version, I don't know, it doesn't even has a release date yet. Either way, I'm totally impressed.

They didn't, why ppl keep saying this, Sony confirmed its PS4 and they had behind closed doors demos running on a PS4, Sony inhouse studios are just that good.

I think they are still considering the handled market , just check John  Kodera quote on recent financial report , but my prediction  it will be separate system like PS vita or PSP , but i bet it will copy Switch concept.
