Why is Cappy and Tiara the examples of characters to add to MK8D? The big star to come out of Odyssey is obviously Pauline.

I know, especially since she's now a top-rated mayor AND singer! :D

If free dlc updates like SPlatoon and Arms, then MK8D, but otherwise 9.

DLC in multiplayer games that split userbase just annoy me, so would have more paid dlc for 8, but in same sense I feel like 9 will be a step back from 8. I can't imagine it having as many characters or tracks as 8 currently has, so you just kind of want to keep making 8 better than starting over.

Nah. Tiara may be lame, but Cappy is way awesome.

MK9 2-3 years in the future, nicely coinciding with when I upgrade from Wii U to Switch.

Personally, I'd love to see MK 9 kind of take the Diddy Kong Racing route, with different vehicles to drive, and a singleplayer adventure mode, with a sort of hubworld, like in DKR, with having to pass races and missions to advance to new areas in the map.

Basically, I think they've perfected Mario Kart in it's current form, so i nthe next one, they need to go in some very different direction.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=47568

I wont even buy MK8 again for Switch, so definitely Mario Kart 9.

Maybe add that tunneling underground function they were thinking of for Mario Kart 8?

I'd rather they just do a Diddy Kong Racing sequel, or at least reboot.
