I just really hope the game doesn't feel rushed and lacking in terms of story/world/content due its short development time.

Is the development time really that short? Three years was about the development time of Xenoblade also, and that was with fewer resources available. The story was better (as of now) than XBC:X with its much longer development time. Takahashi probably writes these stories in a few months and then it is all implementation from there. The world sounds very interesting, with multiple Titans, although I am with you in hoping that each Titan is packed with quality content.

XBC took 4 years, according to Wikipedia anyway, beginning development before the launch of the Wii and releasing in 2010.

I just really want the game to feel like a substantial experience like the Wii game, not something where you can tell they didn't have time to fully flesh it out.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

I just started replaying Xenoblade for Wii. If there is one thing that I really, really would like to get fixed is streamlining sidequests, and reducing their number. (by getting rid of many unnecessary fetch quests). Also, make the menus and inventory faster to access and the quests easier to organize, and also reduce the amount of useless items and weapons, and all of my concerns with the first game are addressed.

Edit: Double post because site frooze.

I am very excited to have the composers of XB1 back, that game had one of my favourite soundtracks of all time, and if XB2 can even come close to that level of quality, that will substantially elevate the game in my book.

XCX character model is hideous

I still prefer them to XB2's, frankly.

Same, and people think I hate XB2? I don't, it just has issues and I have concerns about my favorite series of all time. Some of them even have been fixed or shown (shadows and switching weapons granted I REALLY dislike the link with monsters to get weapons thing and the character designs).

I'm wondering how being released at the beginning of the Switch lifecycle will affect the sales for XC2, I hope it can do 2M+, this series deserves more sales than it currently gets...
