Nintendo will be forced to go third party when cloud gaming becomes mainstream, they just don't have what it takes to build a worldwide cloud infrastructure.

Stadia and xCloud will begin to fight the real fight in the next 2 years. MS announced that Series X hardware will be available on xCloud in 2021, and Google is already with the next Stadia hardware upgrade in the works.

Stadia won't exist in 2 years.

The amount of money google is throwing at Stadia is too huge. You don't see someone putting some hundreds of million bucks into infrastructure (yet nothing compared to what Google has in revenue) and hiring people to run the studios they are opening left and right to shut it down tomorrow.

If Google kept Google+ alive for 10 years, they will keep stadia alive for at least 10 years.

They pretty much abandoned Google+ in matter of months, they pretty much did the same with Stadia (it's a 7 month old platform and has barely any games or anything really interesting so far, it's doom).

Never understood why people want Nintendo to go third party so much.

Is it because you want to play their games, but dont want to buy their hardware?
Is it because you want Sony or MS to get more of the market share?
Is it because you think Nintendo consoles are holding the industry back in some way and their games would look better on other consoles and therefore be better?
Is it because you just want them to fail?

I guess its a combination of all 4.

It's usually a mix of all four, yeah.

A lot of folks subscribe to the idea that more powerful hardware = better hardware and that therefore Nintendo hardware is bad and their games would be better on Playstation. Then there are those sad console warriors who just want to see their favourite brand beat the "enemy" brand.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

Because Sega did so well since, they want the same for Nintendo
