Ronaldo has surpassed Messi today. He has achieved the second greatest prize in all football, winning the Euro in an absolute dominant individual fashion. Messi is a system player, Ronaldo is an individual that can drag any team with him. What Messi couldnt achieve with the highest ranked national football team in the world Ronaldo did with a team that most consider mediocre at best. History was made.

Euro was never the second greatest prize because there'sno such a thing.

Second, Portugal is a much better TEAM than Argentina.

Third, Ronaldo just played 24mn in the final and didn't contribute to the goal. Portugal won, Cristiano is just another player in the team.

You're kidding right? Argentina is ranked #1 in the world with a team full of star players. Portugal is ranked #8 in the world with Ronaldo and Pepe and a bunch of no names.

Argentina have Messi, Aguero and a bunch of no names (based on the same comparisons). Most international teams have outright stars compared to the rest but the FIFA ranking means little sometimes. Belgium just are not a better team than most the teams in the top ten (not yet anyway), no idea how they got #2.

Hmm, pie.
