Yes. Pokkén Tournament is going to be awesome, I'm going to relish playing Twilight Princess in HD, and Star Fox Zero and Zelda U are the two games I've been waiting for ever since I bought this console and they both look amazing.
I'm just mad at how there hasn't been any relevant announcements in almost 2 years. Abandoning a platform like that creates a lot of uncertainty on the user base that spent their hard earned money on the console, and releasing a new console in the middle of a generation with both your own fans uncertain about you and the people who don't care about you still not caring, it's a really stupid decision by Nintendo.
You might have a different opinion, but personally, I loved the Wii U, and to be honest it's been a shame what it's been reduced to in 2015 and 2016. And honestly, it's not even just because it's getting a successor. Even Nintendo Directs have got Wii U stuff out of the way as early as possible to focus on the 3DS, so it's not about not having anything to show.
Anyways, the Wii U is selling at a profit right now and if I were in Nintendo's place, I'd keep supporting it to keep the fans on board and only release a new console when the next generation comes, since that's when other people are also going to be in the hype for new consoles and thus, the new console would have some notoriety. As is stands, a 2016 release for the NX, being a Wii U successor, I believe is doomed to fail.

Frankly, I'd rather have them focus on NX games now than Wii U games, and I'm absolutely supportive of them dropping the Wii U for that cause. If it were up to me, Wii U wouldn't even be getting Paper Mario, so I think Wii U owners should be counting their blessings. 2016 is giving the Wii U six major first party games, which is better than any year of the Wii U by far.
I love my Wii U. I've spent at least $400 on softwhere for it. I still would currently rather own it than the PS4 or XBO, even if that opinion is starting to change. But I've been done with it for years because its just not getting the support I expect from a gaming platform, and that's specifically because it's unsuccessful. It had no chance to become successful after Mario Kart 8, so I'm glad Nintendo were smart about it and didn't start beating this dead horse.
I, and many more, frankly do not have the patience for a neutered platform like the Wii U lasting another 4+ years. The only reason I've been able to enjoy the Wii U in the first place is because I knew, since January 2014, that I would only need to deal with it for 2 more years before it is succeeded by a new, better platform that will be given a second chance at actually being successful, having a denser library of games, and most importanly having the third party support I expected with the Wii U. I don't believe for a second that the Wii U deserved to last longer than 4 only years with such non-existant support from 3rd party multiplatform games.
Even before the NX was teased, people have been anticipating the Wii U's successor for years. The Fusion and NX has since been the undeniably most consistantly talked about gaming topic for over two years. People are hyped about the NX now. The only people who want Nintendo to wait for the NX are a very tiny subsect of burned Wii U owners, of which there are only 12m in a gaming landscape of 200+ consumers at least. Everyone else sees that the Wii U is a failure that needs to stop being dragged through the mud asap. I guess you may feel that the NX is doomed to fail purely based off its release in relation to its unpresidented astronomical failure of a predecessor, and it definitely is coming out this year, but that fear is frankly without merit.
