This is cool, but we know that people will make it out to be a big deal no matter how it is handled, and that will lead to drama wars between homos and bigots that will ultimately lead into nothing.
I'm now filled with determination.

Just standard political pandering.
Disney is out to make huge money from Star Wars and the masses are almost 95% hetorosexual.
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Sorry I think I misstated the question. I'm more talking about if you want to be 99% confident that your results are within 1% of the true value for a population of 319million (US population) what sample size do you need to achieve that. According to the first calculator for this I found on the internet we would need a sample size of 16,641 to be that confident of our answer. So we can be 99% sure that the true number is within 2.4-4.4 according to the gallup poll with 100,000 respondents.
Equation for that if anyone is curious is:

where z is based on confidence interval. Interesting point is that the population size becomes inconsequential at a certain point and 16,641 respondents is thought to represent a population of 319million just as much as 7billion. Of course you need an actual random sampling which I doubt the gallup poll did across the world population so we can only make conclusions about the US population based on that survey.

Also, this thread reminds me of a joke I once heard. You could drop a white guy in Africa and he'd walk around going "Man! Would you look at all these minorities!" |
Such a funny joke! I'm dying! Jk.
I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.
About the amount of gay people in the population I suggest not to trust a lot the numbers of those studies, some of them say that only a 2.5% of the population is gay, but other says that on certain western societies where is not tabu and people is not asshamed the number of gay + bisex grow to 10% - 15%, is hard to know the real number, the thing is we all know gay people in our everyday life, there is a ton of them is not like they're a rare thing at all, yet on videogames and films they are still rare.

And those heterosexual have gay familiars and gay friends in their lives, and a 5% (or maybe more) is gay, wich is actually a huge amount of people, so what is bad about having a similar amount of gay presence in mainstram cinema? Is not like they have to fullfil a minimun number but there is nothing wrong if they want to make their films more inclusive.

He knew what he was doing, female wookies wear bras and panties, it's simple math.

Why not? It's obviously narrow-minded in a vast universe like Star Wars that all the characters have to be straight. I don't see it as an ofense, not at all. It kind of reminds me when DW introduced Captain Jack as a bisexual character and some people called it "gay propaganda". What the fuck, gays exist, why not introduce a gay character? Is it a crime?
JJ Abrams only had something to say about Ep.7 did he not? As far as I'm aware, other than Abrams writing a treatment for where he likes Ep.8 to go, the following Episodes all have different writers and directors... So what Abrams says now is pretty much irrelevant.

The topic ended here people. No need anything more
