Sad to see.
Even though from the beta, it is a slight improvement over AW, it doesn't deserve these sales. Sony can rest easy, it looks like their bundle will be their best selling yet sadly.

nahh it deserves these numbers. Treyarch has a excellent reputation in the COD community and it shows. Amazing to see!!!

Screw MP. That's never been the best part about Treyarch CoDs anyway. Zombies all the way mam!
My reasons for the significantly higher preorder:
#1 - It's Treyarch
#2 - Black Ops is a good series
#3 - Fucking Zombie mode!!!

It's because for the first time since WaW they had a beta that was accessible via pre-order.
They're not fooling me. COD is a dying franchise. Sure, it's still hugely successful, but it will never be the juggernaut that it once was. "Everyone" used to play COD, but now my friends all play Destiny and now Halo and with games like Battlefront and Fallout on the horizon, people are done with COD.

I agree that the CoD brand wont be as huge as it once was, but I would disagree to say that people are done with CoD. Just because your friends are switching over doesn't mean the rest of the world is either.
The sales number for the last CoD AW are still way more impressive than Destiny and likely Halo 5. Can't speak for SW Battlefront just yet but you can't include Fallout as that's not a MP game. Since BO3 preorders are significantly higher than Advance Warfare there's a high chance that it achieve a much higher sales than it as well lifetime, and will make it even bigger than Destiny and Halo in retrospective. I wouldn't be surpsied if the CoD series lasted longer than any of the games you've mentioned.

of course its not dead. there are 12 million active users on Blops2. A 3 year old game. Blops3 is going to be huge!
treyarch definitely took the crown after MW2 due to the departure of the best Infinity ward talents. Looking forward for BO3
