Look at that! There are some Nintendo games that are only available in 1 console sell more than those who are available in multiple consoles!!!!!

Except that you didn't have the choice of buing the Wii without the Wii Sports. No matter, The Playroom will outsell it.
Hopefully we will get another game that will "catch" the audience in the NX like Wii Sports. That game made people fall in love with the Nintendo Wii
Pocky Lover Boy!

It is notable that out of the top 100, close to 40 are Nintendo published or developed titles. Sadly, Activision seems like it may come in second, unless I miscounted.

Very true. Wii U is actually, at it's bare bones, a pretty great console, with a very handy, if a bit too large controller, and some very good games, and a thriving digital eShop platform to boot. It's main problem, outside of shitty NoA advertising/marketing, is that it never had that "MUST HAVE" game. Mario Kart 8, and to a lesser extent, Splatoon now, perhaps Mario Maker if it continues to have strong sales, are the closest things it's had. But Nintendo Land, which I'm sure they had high hopes of being another Wii Sports, simply was not. It's not a bad game, but it was a major letdown. The magic of Wii Sports, was at it controlled super well, it sold the motion control gimmick with that one game, and it was super easy to pick up and play and get into. It was actually fun, all 5 sports were fun to play, with Bowling of course being the run-away favorite of most.
Nintendo Land had none of that. It was not easy or quick to pick up and play, and most of that games simply weren't all that fun, not much replay value. Wii Sports had tons of replay. I think NX definitely needs a big game that "sells the system", like Mario 64 did for N64, or Wii Sports did for Wii. Granted, N64 didn't sell amazingly, but it had solid sales behind a lot of great (including some third party) exlcusives you could ONLY get on N64. As hot as PS1 was that gen, people still wanted to get an N64 for Mario, or Goldeneye, or Mario Kart, or Star Fox, or Zelda, or Banjo-Kazooie.
NX definitely needs something like that. And porting the Wii U Zelda to be a launch title isn't the answer. Let that remain what might hopefully be a "last big hurrah" for Wii U, ONE truly great game for the console, among many very good ones. NX needs it's OWN unique titles. A really hot 3D Mario would help, and NOT simply another Galaxy game, but a fresh, epic take on the franchise. Plus another totally new IP like Splatoon wouldn't hurt either.

But that isn't exclusive to nintendo games.
