NX won't be out next year, at least not a home console replacement for Wii U yet, if it winds up being some kind of "platform" between multiple consoles.

I do think Wii U will surpass Vita lifetime, but it's sad that we're even having this kind of conversation, or that someone is even asking that question. I like Wii U, like the GamePad, etc., but Nintendo mismanaged this system, from advertising to development cycles, and it is going to be their lowest selling console, as of now, without some unforseen huge event spiking it's sales big time.

I still think they need to drop the fuckin' price another $50 for this holiday season. I see zero reason for them not to, really, if they want sales to pick up again, even if just for the short term (like a year).

-Wiiu will outsell vita when it launches.

-Some time in 2014 easily
-Splatoon is gonna be massive. Wait and see the boost is gonna give it. Psvita stands no chance.

The confidence in some people's predictions... I, too, expected it to have passed vita by now, but come on. Stop acting like the vita is dead and the wiiu is doing well and about to pass it any time now. Have your past predictions taught you nothing yet?

No lol.  Wii U isn't closing a 2.2m gap and the Vita will probably be supported longer than the Wii U.  

Not when it comes to brand perception. The ps4 would not sell as much if it released when the PS3 was selling abysmally, with low third party support, and a short life

Probably not, most nintendo fans already have a wii u and the wii u isn't diversifying its catalog with non Nintendo-like games, sooo sales will probably fall.

Vita sales will also probably fall, but it still is a hit in Japan, and it already has a 2 million lead

If it gets a price drop and few games why not

Actually it seems like NX is coming next year.

I thought they will drop $50  price in september, but it seems they still want to make money on hardware itself.

Doesn't seem like hit in Japan either.

Other than that Vita and Wii U are selling on pair till holiday season when Wii U is selling 2-3x time better than Vita.
