well maybe not in 3 days but you dont look like a nintendo fan, cause if you were you would notice that splatoon is going to at least do 500k first week, with only in  japan it has 150k in preorders so his prediction is to high but 3 months is an exaggeration

Here in europe many will go out trying to find the special edition with the bundles squid amiibo...

So its going to by July when they realize that they won't get one  and go for the eShop version

But the sales numbers will be fantastic and Nintendo will be very proud to announce them at E3.

Imagine if this was a SE game... would still be considered a flop xD 

lol Splatoon isn't going to come close to 500k FW in Japan. Mario Kart 8 launched with 325k. Maybe 200k FW but 500k? No, not happening.

It will be as good - but the sales curve will be different. 

MK8 was very steep at the beginning. Splatoon needs more time.

At the end both will have almost the similar attach rate as the power of mouth to mouth will work for Splatoon.
