One would argue that after tracking sales of WiiU for over 2 years you'd learn that WiiU always performs below expectations.

But I digress.

Seeing how that 100k happened on the biggest week of the year, and by looking at WiiU's performance in the previous weeks along with the value of the bundles, it wasn't above expectations.

It wasn't below them, sure, I extrapolated a little in my post, but that 100k wasnt a "OMG look at WiiU its so hot is cooking a Yoshi!"

It rather was "Yeah, WiiU is doing as it should be doing" it was withing expectations.

Hyrule Warriors came out during the Bon Festival in August.

Its a different Holiday.

20k is too much, 13k is WiiU's biggest golden week.

Everything higher than 20k is insanity, its unlikely even PS4 will pull those numbers.


Both times Dragon Quest X released for the system, the system saw a 100% boost. I'm assuming the game will hit 80-100K first week, maybe more because of Golden Week. But this combined with Xenoblade X bundles, I think it can break 20K.

when the first edition released it boosted wii u sales over 100% from 8k to 22k

when the 2nd edition released wii u sales went from 28k-48k almost around a75-80% increase

Ehhh fine, I might be underestimating Xenoblade.

Still, that 80k-100k is too high for DQX, version 2.0 opened with less than 70k and it came out in December.

I'd also argue that people with the Dragon Quest thirst will settle with Heroes, I know they're vastly different games, but still.

well it looks to be doing fine at amazon jp with over 2 months before release(#7 right now)

I think itll do 50k+ it helps when a jrpg comes out and is getting a bundle which should help with dq10 a little
