Nice attempt. And nice rampant assumptions. I don't like these kinds of threads because they're silly, because they're pointless, and because they bring out the trolls hardcore. But hey, you go ahead and pretend that it's actually because they "bring out my worst fears", as if I'm that pathetic of the gamer archetype who has nothing left if my gaming is gone. If that's what makes you feel warm and nerdy inside, have at it. So have fun with that attitude of yours. And even if you're not rooting for Wii U/Nintendo to fail, the nature of your post still betrays a rather ignorant and naive world view on your part, if you don't mind my saying so. Mario Kart and Smash Bros., two of the hottest franchises, and certainly bigger than anything Wii U has gotten thus far, are coming next year, along with potentially this big new epic Zelda we've been waiting for. Nintendo isn't stupid, and they most certainly aren't done turning this ship around. It might never have crossed your mind while you were so terribly busy thinking of terribly clever ways to insult my apparently delusional Nintendo fanhood, but perhaps Nintendo realizes they don't have a whole lot of hope at drastically impacting the launches of PS4 and XBone this year, and thus are waiting to make a stronger push when they'll "have the stage to themselves" early next year and beyond. |
It was a shitty attitude reply to go along with your shitty attitude post. No hard feelings, but someone had to do it.
I'm sure I went overboard, yes, but my points still stand, when you take away all the make-up I applied to them. I know that M&L bundles are bombing because it's been reported yesterday by one of the insiders (Creamsugar). That Party U is bombing is also confirmed. Do you really think that they can simply wait for next year to come to tell the investors and gamers "Please understand, I've lied to all of you, you've placed your trust and money on our hands and we didn't take the correct steps. But be sure we will... someday."
People reach a limit and after that, hope and understadning is gone. I'm a longtime Nintendo fan, I mostly only play Nintendo games, but clearly their spotlight time is over. Nintendo are on their own with the U. No serious company will devote resources to make games that won't sell. Every third party games has bombed, no exceptions.
Appologies again for the harsh post. Inner me doesn't want to see Nintendo fail, but I know it's the most probable scenario.
Proud poster of the 10000th reply at the Official Smash Bros Update Thread.
