Forums - Nintendo - DKC: Tropical Freeze Delayed? (Don't Panic)

Sounds like a strategic move. With Mario and Sonic out for the holidays, is there really need for Donkey kong? The game will probably be eclipsed by mario and the presumably well received new Sonic.

If it turns out fake, then its yet another title for the Wii U holidays.

check Official Nintendo website, still dated december 6, 2013.

Amazon.es are saying they were contacted by the maker (most likely the protocol explanation) to reschedule.
It`s weird how several outlets are saying the same thing.

Definitely don't mind the DK delay if it means Mario Kart instead. I played MK8 at Nintendo World after E3 and it was amazing. However I will not be a happy camper if the game is shipped incomplete. One of the best things about Nintendo is that it doesn't release half-finished games. Would be a bad precedent from one of the few publishers that doesn't gouge us on DLC.

This is pretty much what I think. It is the only time I've got excited about MK since the original one more than 20 years ago (?!?) - Yup, I preferred Diddy Kong on 64 and ExciteBots on Wii, did not have a GC - so I really hope they do not jump the gun. I wanna play TF but it can wait. Just don't think a rushed MK is worth it.

You should give Double Dash a try. I agree that Diddy Kong Racing is better than Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart Wii was underwhelming, but Double Dash is an excellent game. Best Mario Kart in my opinion. Give it a try :)

MKWii is my fave. It was very different to DD though. DD was much more of a party game and Wii was actually fairly competitive and serious... well if you played in clans, otherwise the game just throws like a million blue shells at you

That's a good point. Double Dash is a little unbalanced in comparison. But the track design was spectacular, and the two-players-per-kart mechanic was insanely fun.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You can never have too many platformers...

1doesnotsimply

its fine, whether its true or not, Wii U has a decent line up for xmas. WHat they dont need is to move up MK8, no hell no, the world doenst need another rushed Mario game just because the console isnt doing too hot. (looking at you 7)

On one hand personally I would prefer DKC: TF over Mario Kart, just because it's only the 2nd "new" DKC game since 1996.

And I wanna hear dat David Wise soundtrack.

Cool tip, I'll take your word for it and give a try if I find someone willing to sell it along with some time ;) . But with studies, family and work I have so big a backlog it isn't funny. See, three years ago I bought a copy of F-Zero GX that I have barely tested. My son plays it now and then and I have only got time to drool taking some glimpses at the screen.

That'd be right, leave Wii U with nothing but Super Mario 3DS World to fend against the PS4. Nintendo, you fucking morons.
