Even if this did happen, Gamestop would officially deny any culpability. They would attribute blame to an unruly employee who did this without their knowledge.

Who would doubt them? In all fairness I doubt anyone with authority had knowledge of this.

At the same time who's to say it actually happened, seems to be rumour for the moment.
