THE WALKING DEAD: MICHONNE TRAILER IS A REMINDER THAT PEOPLE SUCK

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-walking-dead-michonne-trailer-is-a-reminder-that-people-suck/

The Walking Dead: Michonne is out tomorrow, which means it's obligatory launch trailer time. We actually got a good look at TWD: Michonne gameplay in last week's “Six Minutes With...” video, but this trailer is all about setting up the story. Unsurprisingly, it's lacking in both sunshine and singsong.

DOOM'S HACK MODULES WILL OFFER TEMPORARY MULTIPLAYER BOOSTS

http://www.pcgamer.com/dooms-hack-modules-will-offer-temporary-multiplayer-boosts/

Doom releases in May, so the information drip feed is well underway. Today, Bethesda detailed both the game's Warpath multiplayer mode and Hack Modules. The latter are accrued by simply playing the game and, much like Titanfall's burn cards, are one time use items.

RAINBOW SIX SIEGE PATCH WILL IMPROVE MATCHMAKING IN RANKED

http://www.pcgamer.com/rainbow-six-siege-patch-will-improve-matchmaking-in-ranked/

For those coming fresh to Rainbow Six Siege, you'll probably be familiar with the tedium of being paired with an opposing team that is emphatically more experienced than your own. This can be fun, but given how much repeated play and map familiarity plays a part in Rainbow Six Siege, it's also exhausting. Good thing Ubisoft is releasing a patch to help teams in the Ranked playlist match up with teams of a (roughly) similar level.

BUS SIMULATOR 16 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND LAUNCH TRAILER ARE HERE

http://www.pcgamer.com/bus-simulator-16-system-requirements-and-launch-trailer-are-here/

Buckle up, fans of shared transport solutions. We reported last month that Bus Simulator 16, the game about driving a bus, had been delayed from its scheduled launch date of January 20 to the not-too-distant March 2. That new date isn't quite upon us yet, but apparently it's close enough to justify this launch trailer.

In that Gears thread you said Full screen borderless window mode gives a performance loss. I actually have to use that because if I don't then I have to enable Vsync which gives me horrible frame and input lag, if I turn it off I get screen tearing everywhere which makes FSBWM the only alternative until I get that G-Sync and so far for games like Dying Light has been amazing for me in terms of no input lag, screen tearing or frame buffering.

Hey, I just posted the wccftech article. I still haven't upgraded to Win 10 and don't have Rise of the Tomb Raider.

But I haven't read about problems with the Steam version of the game. What settings are you playing at? Maybe lowering them a bit would help.

CAPCOM "LOOKING INTO" ADDING AN ARCADE MODE TO STREET FIGHTER 5

http://www.pcgamer.com/capcom-looking-into-adding-an-arcade-mode-to-street-fighter-5/

Street Fighter 5, we said in our review, does what it does very well. The problem is that it doesn't do enough. There's not even an Arcade Mode, which means there's no way to take on the AI in the best-of-three punch-ups that have traditionally been a cornerstone of nearly every fighting game ever made. As omissions go, it's glaring, but Capcom recently told Forbes that it's giving thought to adding one.

DARKSPORE WILL CLOSE FOR GOOD NEXT WEEK

The announcement of Darkspore's imminent, permanent shutdown was actually made in December, but, tellingly, nobody noticed. In keeping with the functional nature of shooter map names, Alcatraz is set in Alcatraz, Chinatown is set in Chinatown, Thin Ice has ice in it and Cemetery is set in a cemetery.

VALVE FANS HAVE FOUND SOME INTERESTING HINTS IN THE STEAMVR PERFORMANCE TEST

http://www.pcgamer.com/valve-fans-have-found-some-interesting-hints-in-the-steamvr-performance-test/

If there's one thing you can rely on in 2016, it's this: if Valve release a sheet of code, people will pillage it for Half-Life 3 references. Valve recently rolled out the SteamVR Performance Test, which is designed to establish how fit a PC is for VR. Predictably enough, the community at Valve Time has stripped the program down and discovered a bunch of secrets inside.

I was burned out on Humble Bundles after the first couple. In part it was because my cup runneth over with games I've never installed and bundles contribute to Steam library shame in a big way. But there's also the fact that the quality is highly variable from one bundle to the next. Humble Indie Bundle 16 is obscenely well endowed.

PLAY DEATH WITH THE DIVISION'S 'END OF SOCIETY SIMULATOR'

Ubisoft's ad gurus certainly are putting in the overtime drumming up hype for The Division. We've had the usual slew of explosive trailers and beta 'tests', but they've been accompanied by interactive MacGuffins to toy with and remind us that what we're gearing up to play is, in fact, a game.

nono, I meant the actual setting "full screen border windowless mode" for all games. Like so far I;ve been using it for most games that offer it and it;s been better for me than going full screen and slapping Vsync on (which gets me less than 60fps).

I haven't had a chance to play TR yet since I;ve been going with DL the following after finding out the old mod manager seems to work on the latest version of the game. (so I can remove CA).
