AC Odyssey Gold is still 50€ after four years. I doubt Valhalla will be any cheaper than that.

For the NA region the price of the Ultimate Edition is $120 MSRP.

Its on sale for $30 right now.

Thats actually how much I paid for the game when I bought it last year.

I'm okay with that pricing , anyways I think the price will drop next year once Valhalla is released this year and whenever Mirage comes out next year.

Origins Gold Edition is $100 MSRP with the sale price being $20 so I can see Odyssey's Ultimate Edition being around $25 to $27 next year.

To be honest, that price point with the content (DLC and base game) is actually quite nice.

Edit: Worth noting, it also came with ACIII Remaster, so $30 for all that is great.

I wonder how much AC Valhalla will cost on Steam.

(Specifically the Gold/Ragnarok/whatever is called edition)

I'm expecting full price, or the typical Ubisoft go-to strat: release as many incomplete editions at varying high prices as possible to confuse the customer, basically giving you the only logical option to buy the "ultimate complete edition" (which costs the most).

I always buy games with the DLC/complete edition content either ways so I'm fine with that.

I dont even bother buying base games anymore unless its Nintendo games.

AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12-core CPU drops to record low $440 for Cyber Monday

What it really goes to show is how much margins AMD wanted for these CPUs that they are able to cut them so heavily so soon. But the high prices of the CPUs weren't the only mistake as the motherboard prices were high as well and sadly, that hasn't changed.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 temporarily drops below MSRP in Germany

$90 savings on a card that is about $600 overpriced. If they discount it by another $500, it could be considered a good buy.

The Monday news:

Steam's top 10

GOG's Black Friday Sale will last for another couple of days, but that hasn't stopped GOG from launching 6 new Deals of the Day, that will be available during 46 hours, until Wednesday:

At Steam, the Autumn Sale will last another 26 hours.

Fanatical has two novelties:

Cyberpunk 2077 gets a 4K High-Resolution Player Faces Texture Pack
Modder ‘XilaMonstrr’ has released a new 4K texture pack for Cyberpunk 2077, aiming to overhaul the faces of the playable characters.
According to the modder, the original faces were a bit low-res for today’s standards. As such, and by using chaiNNer and ESRGAN models, they were able to upscale them all by 4X.
>> There's no video, but a few screenshots.

This mod brings the dragons from Game of Thrones to Skyrim Special Edition
Modder ‘KaienHash’ has released an amazing mod for Skyrim Special Edition, that adds to it the main three dragons from Game of Thrones. As such, players can expect to see Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion.
Do note that this mod only covers the dragons from Game of Thrones. Dragons that appear in House of the Dragon, like Vhagar or Syrax, are not present.
Furthermore, XilaMonstrr has cleaned these textures of compression artifacts and optimized them for SSE. The modder is currently offering a 16K version of these textures, so we highly recommend downloading them.
>> There's a video of the mod.

The Witcher 3 mods improve LODs for all characters, enemies & objects
Modder ‘ScoutBr0’ has released two new mods for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that will significantly improve the LODs and draw distance for all characters, animals, monsters and items.
According to the modder, the mods will increase the rendering distance of a significant portion of the game’s architectural objects. Furthermore, they will reduce/remove multiple LOD from most objects, leaving only the highest-quality version of meshes. Additionally, they will fix/add shadowmeshes in instances where it was incorrect or missing. Not only that, but they will enable window shadows for select buildings in Novigrad.
>> Again, no video but some screenshots.

Fallout 4 gets a fan expansion, inspired by Fallout: New Vegas’ DLC
Modder ‘Zanthir’ has released a fan expansion for Fallout 4, called A Taste of Blues. Inspired by Fallout: New Vegas Old World Blues DLC, this mod is a must-have for all New Vegas fans. In this mod, you will travel to the X-49 facility, discover the secrets therein, and find some familiar (and some new) weapons, clothing, and items.
Going into mode tails, A Taste of Blue features a new quest and new dungeon to explore. Moreover, it has 14 new, faithfully recreated weapons (along with 16 variants). Players can also find 6 new clothing/headwear types, 7 new aid/misc items and 32 new workshop items (available after completing the quest). Furthermore, there are over 40+ total rewards/recipes/items to find around the dungeon.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gets a 60fps mod for PC
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet released earlier this month on Nintendo Switch, and was playable on PC via emulators on launch day. Not only that, but the game ran better on PC when it came out, and PC gamers can now also enjoy it with 60fps.
Although the game is by default locked at 30fps, Nintendo Switch cannot offer a constant 30fps experience. According to numerous reports, there are major and numerous drops below that framerate target. On the PC, however, gamers can play it with constant 30fps.
Modder ‘theboy181’ is currently working on a 60fps mod for the game. In order to showcase their progress, theboy181 shared the following videos. And, as we can see, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can now look silky smooth on PC.

A No Man's Sky standalone app lets you create bases and import them into the game
Here's modding magic for you: A standalone app that allows No Man's Sky players to design large bases, then use a save editor to put them in the game. Dedicated base-builders will find it not just a simpler, but faster, way to make impressive constructions than using the array of tricks and exploits that players use in-game to easily make big stuff.
Modder Charlie Banks, aka DjMonkeyUK, posted the mod to Twitter and Nexus Mods , noting that the tool is very much a work in progress. "There are some missing things compared to the Blender add-on. So bear with any potential bugs and missing things compared to Blender," he said. Nonetheless, playing around with the app is surprisingly simple, even for me—an pretty inexperienced 3D modeler.

Levitation, the all-new story mod for Half-Life: Alyx, is out today
Levitation, a mod that continues the story of Valve's hit VR game Half-Life: Alyx, is now available on Steam. The mod picks up right after the events of Half-Life: Alyx, bringing the titular character and her pal Russell back to City 17 to save her friends, and possibly the whole resistance.
Half-Life: Alyx – Levitation has gone from announcement to completion in very short order, especially in comparison to the development of the game itself: It was only revealed in April this year. The final result is scaled back a wee bit from what was initially promised—the story is expected to run 3-4 hours, rather than 4-5—but even so it sounds like a very beefy experience, with eight levels featuring new voice lines and character animations. The launch trailer looks pretty great, too.

Here’s what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Ghost looks like without his mask
Ghost is one of the most iconic characters from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Wearing his classic skull mask, this character is a badass. However, did you ever wonder what he looks like without his mask? Well, time to find out.
In the single-player campaign, there is a scene in which Ghost removes his mask. However, the in-engine cut-scene does not reveal his face. Thankfully, dataminers have found his 3D model and shared it online. As such, we can finally take a look at Ghost without his mask.

A few days ago, we shared an off-camera video featuring the first ten minutes of The Callisto Protocol. And here is today a new direct-feed video in glorious 4K quality, featuring the game’s first 30 minutes. Since this is a direct-feed video, it can give you a better idea of what you can expect from the game’s graphics.

Monday news, part two:

Rockstar wants GTA Online players to steal $2 trillion (yes, trillion) in a week
In 2020, Rockstar Games held a "Heist Challenge" in Grand Theft Auto Online, offering free rewards for the entire community if players could collectively steal GTA$100 billion from Heist Finales in one week. They delivered in spades, bringing home an astounding $1 trillion by the time the event was over. So for 2022, Rockstar is stepping things up a bit.

Finally, a free game about skateboard witches fighting corporate evil
I love student games for two reasons: They're usually really cool proofs-of-concept and they're usually free.
So it is with Witchpunk, a free game that hit Steam this month made by a team called 99% Funk at the DigiPen Institute of Technology. In it, you lay down some sick arena combat against corporate demons as you shred around on your witchy skateboard while bashing robots with your giant, magic hammer and/or spraypaint.
>> There's a short video of it.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide progress will carry over into the full game, Fatshark confirms
Beta tests often function separately from full game releases—that is, what you do in the beta won't count when the full game comes along. The good news for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide players is that any progress they make in the ongoing pre-release beta will carry over to the full game when it launches on November 30.

I cannot stop laughing at Warzone 2 cheaters in flying boats
There's a lot of stuff that's annoying when someone is hacking. Sometimes, however, people use the power of hacking for a laugh. A goof. A ha-ha. Such seems to be the case, at least so far, with the advent of flying boats in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.
>> Therre's a video showing it. And you should watch it mutted.

Overwatch 2 tank Ramattra's abilities revealed in debut gameplay trailer
After his reveal earlier this month, the full roster of Overwatch 2's new tank character Ramattra's abilities are out in the open alongside a trailer showing off the transforming robotic tank in-game ahead of his release on December 6, 2022.

Check out the unique look of Fallout-inspired RPG Space Wreck
I love that we're at a point in gaming technology where I can look at a jaggy pixelated line and know with absolute certainty that it's jaggy because the creators wanted it to be. It is purposeful pixelation, and upcoming isometric RPG Space Wreck is rife with it, combining a comic artist's eye for composition and lines with a sense of animation that suits its inspirations: Classic western isometric RPGs like Fallout and Arcanum. It's set to launch on December 5, 2022.

Midnight Suns has 'something like 65,000 lines of voiced dialogue'
Superhero comics are wordy beasts, with characters who somehow have time to fill balloons with 20-25 words of chit-chat in the same amount of time it takes to swing a single punch. Marvel's movies are famous for the amount of banter in them too. It's still a bit of a surprise that Marvel's Midnight Suns—a turn-based tactics game by Firaxis, whose XCOM series isn't exactly known for its storytelling and character work—is cramming in the words too. But according to a recent Special Message from Firaxis video, it absolutely is.

Retro GTA2-inspired shooter Geneshift becomes Gene Shift Auto, goes free-to-play
The game that was called Geneshift is now known as Gene Shift Auto. As Nik Nak Studios, which is to say solo developer Ben Johnson, explains, it's changed dramatically enough during development and early access to warrant a new name.

Gran Turismo boss says he's "considering and looking into" PC port
Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi has said that he would consider porting the PlayStation-exclusive racing series to PC. "Yes, I do think so," Yamauchi said when asked if the Gran Turismo series could make the jump to PC.
>> Basil made a thread about it.

Here's when World of Warcraft: Dragonflight releases in your time zone
World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is nearly here, and you'll soon be heading to the Dragon Isles, the home of the Dragon Aspects and the new Dracthyr race. As with any new WoW expansion, the level cap will increase, there will be new zones to explore, and there's a whole new way of getting around with dragonriding.
In preparation for Dragonflight, the pre-patch introduced the revamped UI and the new talent trees, as well as the new evoker class and the updated Uldaman dungeon. So, if you're ready to start your journey to level 70 but are unsure when the new expansion unlocks, here are the WoW: Dragonflight release times, broken down by time zone.

EA patent proposes AI system to punish you for fraternising with the enemy
Like a stern, cigar-chomping general, EA has grown tired of its players befriending their enemies, and has come up with a way to stop it. A new patent from the company, titled "Detecting Collusion in Online Games," is meant to catch players on opposing teams who unfairly partner up before they can ruin the game for everyone else.
