The technology just isn't there for a mid-gen refresh, unless you wish to pay more for a console.

Returnal will obviously benefit from RT a lot more than Sackboy.

Well... It's here!

My first Apple Macbook since highschool which was around 2010. Now this isn't the same model as I showed earlier but the only difference is this model has 16GB instead of 32GB. The reason is that Costco was giving a 20% off of the entire website which allowed me to snag this one for $730 off which btw, Apple products rarely go on sale let alone for anywhere near that much off. Sadly they only have the base model with 1TB SSD + 16GB of ram otherwise I would have gotten the 32GB model. Costco also includes Apple care at a discounted price so it's more like $900 off. At that point... Couldn't Resist...

Now comes the 90 period of "Should I keep it or Return it"

Elden Ring survival mod adds hunger, thirst, region-specific diseases
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/elden-ring-survival-mod-adds-hunger-thirst-region-specific-diseases/
For a certain type of gamer, sprawling open worlds cry out for one thing: survival systems. Survival fans crave the chance to not just explore and conquer, but really feel like they inhabit their game worlds, and nothing accomplishes that like having to take care of certain needs for your character: hunger, thirst, heat and cold, disease, and extensive resource management and crafting systems.
Those systems are coming to the biggest open world game in recent memory, Elden Ring, courtesy of Dark Souls modder Grimrukh. You may know Grimrukh's name from the excellent Dark Souls: Nightfall and Dark Souls: Daughters of Ash mods. Grumrukh released a teaser for Elden Ring: Survival Mode on Twitter, which provides a quick look at what appears to be a pretty extensive survival mod.

https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/the-next-dragon-age-game-is-officially-called-dreadwolf/
Electronic Arts dropped a surprise reveal today, officially confirming the full title of Dragon Age 4: Dreadwolf.
EA has been hinting at the title for years, going all the way back to the very first tease for a new Dragon Age game, which closed in #TheDreadWolfRises hashtag. Subsequent teasers have also featured Solas, a powerful, villainous elven mag known by the Dread Wolf moniker.

Bungie admits Destiny 2's Solar 3.0 did not melt anyone's face off
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/bungie-admits-destiny-2s-solar-30-did-not-melt-anyones-face-off/
Destiny 2 sandbox discipline lead Kevin Yanes made no bones about his hopes for the rework of the Solar subclasses that recently went live alongside Season of the Haunted: "Ideally, it melts your face off," he said last week. In today's This Week at Bungie update, however, Yanes acknowledged that Solar 3.0, as it's known, has not landed with sufficient spice.

More classified military intel gets posted to War Thunder forums, because that's just what happens now
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/more-classified-military-intel-gets-posted-to-war-thunder-forums-because-thats-just-what-happens-now/
Amazingly—and I mean that without an ounce of hyperbole, I am amazed—it has happened again. For the third time, according to the UK Defense Journal, classified military documents have been posted to the forums of War Thunder, Gaijin Entertainment's free-to-play vehicular war game, because a player got pissed off that some tiny aspect of the simulation was wrong.

OlliOlli World devs reveal a new skating-based bloodsport in Rollerdrome
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/olliolli-world-devs-reveal-a-new-skating-based-bloodsport-in-rollerdrome/
Rollerdrome is set in the year 2030, but there's an unmistakable 1970s vibe to the announcement trailer released today at Sony's State of Play presentation. The new singleplayer third-person action game from OlliOlli World developer Roll7 introduces a new bloodsport to what I can only assume is a post-apocalyptic world thirsty for violence.
>> For a moment, I thought it was a game version of Rollerball.

Final Fantasy 16 looks like an intense action-RPG with an emphasis on colossal summons, coming summer 2023
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/final-fantasy-16-summer-2023-release-date/
Final Fantasy 16 is coming in summer 2023, Square Enix announced with a new trailer today. This trailer is our first look at Final Fantasy 16 since its reveal in 2020, and it spends a good chunk of its three minute runtime devoted to the series' iconic summons like Ifrit, Bahamut and Shiva. And they look huge. Like, Greek Titans huge.

Oh hell yeah, Final Fantasy 16's combat director worked on Devil May Cry 5 and Dragon's Dogma
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/final-fantasy-16-devil-may-cry-5-combat/
Final Fantasy 16 looks frenetic. The three minute trailer that debuted during Thursday's PlayStation State of Play event jumps from one busy action scene to the next, showing off glimpses of an action-RPG combat system and giant summons hurtling magic spells at each other. There are even moments that looks like they might be quicktime events—clearly choreographed battle cutscenes that nonetheless have health bars visible on the screen.

Final Fantasy 16's music is by legendary composer Masayoshi Soken and it already rules
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/final-fantasy-16s-music-is-by-legendary-composer-masayoshi-soken-and-it-already-rules/
Final Fantasy 14 fans won't be surprised to hear that along with Naoki Yoshida producing Final Fantasy 16, the game's music will be composed by Masayoshi Soken. Keen listeners would have already been able to tell in the game's two trailers that the music resembles the stuff you hear all the time in the MMO, but now we know for sure via a PlayStation Blog post.

10 years on, Super Hexagon just got a major update
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/10-years-on-super-hexagon-just-got-a-major-update/
Minimalist psychedelic rhythm game Super Hexagon is whirling towards its 10th anniversary, so you wouldn't begrudge its developer Terry Cavanagh if he'd shelved it by now and said "that's that" (especially as he has the far more recent Dicey Dungeons to maintain). But Super Hexagon lives on, as the developer announced that it's now been verified for Steam Deck, and has received a major engine update that should make an already great game that bit better.

Unavowed developer release time-travelling trailer for their latest game
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/unavowed-developer-release-time-travelling-trailer-for-their-latest-game/
You can keep your big-budget games with their roomfuls of writers sweating to replicate the beats and drama of Hollywood blockbusters; some of the best writing in videogames has come from some of its smallest studios, and this isn't the first time I'm highlighting the brilliance of Dave Gilbert and Wadjet Eye Studios. The developer behind wonderful point-and-click games like the Blackwell series and Unavowed has a knack for mature, nuanced storytelling, exploring serious philosophical and psychological topics through the filter of modern-day ghost stories.

Session: Skate Sim rolls out of Early Access in September
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/session-skate-sim-rolls-out-of-early-access-in-september/
With Skate 4 development well underway, Skater XL attracting a solid indie crowd, and the Tony Hawk's series pulling its best trick since its earliest outings (by releasing remakes of those earliest outings in 2020), the skating genre is in a fine place. But the landscape was very different just a few years ago in 2019, and during a barren period for the skating games it was Session that kept things rolling. Well, Session is about to come of age, and after three years in Early Access will get a full release on September 22.

Nice grats on the pick up Yuri. Costco sometime have killer deals and and great warranty. And $900 off is pretty nuts.. not a bad discount tbh.

Also.. EA/Maxis still not done with Sims 4 expansions? Damn.. really want to see the next game.
