Which one are you getting again? I am looking for one as well.

The LG CX series? That's the model I'm interested in (48") and I think Viv said he wanted 2 65" of those :o

Its got a really good review score from RTINGS for PC and gaming - and other sites.

Mmm. Now to wait until Holiday season before spending money on a new TV since there are good discounts where I am at during that time. Unless the Gaming Monitors ever go down to a reasonable price that is!

Yeah these TV's are pretty new. No doubt will knock off a few hundred or more on Black Friday, or Xmas sales. Samsung has pretty good ones as well with FALD.

Gaming monitors will always cost a lot and don't offer high end things like FALD, HDMI 2.1 or even OLED unless its ridiculously priced. Depends on what you want or need really. I hope they'll at least bring some HDMI 2.1 compliant monitors out this year. I'm sick of waiting though and ready to jump on 4K next gen so TV makes sense for me just for features alone, and cheaper vs high end monitor.

Yeah, the LG C9 and LG B9 series have fallen quite fast in price in their first year.

DF is still recommending the C9 series over the CX series due to the huge price difference: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-best-4k-tvs-for-hdr-gaming-7009

And the differences seem to be quite benign: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare?usage=11114&threshold=0.1

I hate that i cant adjust stuff in geforce experience, the game menu offers me MSAA4x or MSAA8x but i can't in anyway select that last option in GE, not even when i would make sacrifices on other options

I wish GFE was actually useful, outside of being able to use it's built in custom shade filters, it's "optimal settings" tuner is just straight up garbage for me. All it seems to do is say "hey, you can run literally any game at 4k, ultra settings, MSAA x8 no problemo!", and when I do that (just for kicks, I know the results), it turns out to be the complete opposite. Nvidia really need to get GFE scanning your actual HW, not just the obvious Nvidia GPU installed in your machine.

It'd be nice if they managed to run tests for all their recent GPU's in the past 5-7 yrs, run them through a database with GFE, and then ofc take in CPU test benches with said games and simply allow the software to tune the game settings, to what nets you above 60fps, instead of being ultra lazy and auto cranking every setting to ultra.

The LG CX series is currently the best TV money can buy, as well as the best 4k gaming monitor that won't bankrupt you. I could get it right now, but I'm trying to hold out a bit for the price to drop, but I'm not sure if I can make it until the holidays.

<SNIP>

Keen AF. Even though I am not a moderator for the Crysis forums and the Crysis community anymore, I am seriously keen for this and how mods/tweaks will take the visuals that step further.

The OG game still holds up rather well visually so I have high hopes for this, hopefully Crytek pushes the visuals out as far as they can, system requirements be damned.

Here's hoping but I think it might end up as a situation of current gen consoles holding it back. We will see though. The mods do like crazy nice. Hopefully the PC version will impress.

Also here's the trailer that got leaked.

I wonder if this remaster will do the same as crysis 3 for me on 4k dropping towards 21 fps
