Hm. Last time I tried to make it run, I had problems with the game coinnecting to the GfWL server, and that stopped me from accessing my old profile or making a new one.

But I'll give it another try, to see if this time it works.

Please excuse my bad English.

Seems that Blizzcon is cancelled this year

I'll be surprised if we see any kind of conference or convention this year, to be honest.

Maybe, jusst maybe, the Game Awards that are in December or so, and only if there hasn't been new wave after this one ends.

I found that I had an arbitrary setting in my Microsoft account years ago that actually prevented Games for Windows Lie! working properly.

This is the annoying part about buying a game on a digital distribution store that relies on the technology from another digital distribution store, it makes the process unnecessarily difficult in the short and long terms.

Is what it is though.

But you can still get it to work.

--::{PC Gaming Master Race}::--

Well, I installed Dirt 2 yesterday and it doesn't even start. I found that, in order to make it work you have to find the GFWL files and delete them, and then install Xbox Live or something like that.

I liked the game, but right now it's not worth the hassle.

What irks me, is I'm unable to play games like Operation Raccoon city on Win 10, due to GFWL. Some folk on Steam suggest I install the old version of GFWL, but last time I tried that, it  really fucked with Win 10 store and other settings. Even then, the game didn't work fully and I was met with a green screen instead. This effectively makes some of my games dead digital coffee coasters.

AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT scored 29172 points, whereas the 3800XT has 25135 points. For reference, 3900X has a score of 27137, while 3700X scores around 24774

Total War: Warhammer 2 hits a new peak player count after the Greenskin update
https://www.pcgamer.com/total-war-warhammer-2-hits-a-new-peak-player-count-after-the-greenskin-update/
Total War: Warhammer is approaching its third year, but proving that orc invasions and massive fantasy battles never go out of style, it's currently enjoying a surge of popularity that's seen more players attempting to conquer the world than the previous highest player count, all the way back at its 2017 launch.
Spotted by PCGamesN, the players started marching in on May 21, where the number climbed to nearly 85,000, the highest its ever been by over 10,000. Normally you'd see these jumps during a free weekend or huge sale, but this time it was an update, specifically aimed at the Greenskin factions.

Samurai Shodown Collection will be free to own on Epic Games Store on June 11th
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/samurai-shodown-collection-will-be-free-to-own-on-epic-games-store-on-june-11th/
SNK has announced that Samurai Shodown Collection is coming to the PC on June 11th, and will be free to own on Epic Games Store for a week. From June 11th to June 18th, PC gamers will be able to acquire for free this SNK Neo Geo collection.
As the title suggests, Samurai Shodown Collection features all the classic Samurai Shodown games that came out on Neo Geo. According to the company, it will contain six games and one mysterious, unreleased title. Furthermore, each game will have online modes, though there is no word on whether there will be cross-platform support.
>> Am I the only one slightly concerned about SNK's management? After all, putting the game for free at the Epic Store and, one week later, launch the collection at Steam and other platforms for sale doesn't sound like a well thought decision.Epic must have given them quite a fair bit of money.

You can now take a leisurely ride through Los Santos with this GTA 5 bike controller mod
https://www.pcgamer.com/you-can-now-take-a-leisurely-ride-through-los-santos-with-this-gta-5-bike-controller-mod/
Why ride a push bike through Los Santos when you can take a fighter jet? Here's a damn good reason: exercise. A new GTA 5 mod makes the game compatible with smart bike trainers, which are basically indoor exercise bikes equipped with technology that can, among other things, simulate real world terrain in virtual environments. One example of compatible software is Zwift, which is like an MMO for people very serious about cycling.
While the exercise and training possibilities are obvious, just riding around Los Santos on an actual bike sounds like a hell of a lot of fun. Using a wireless signal, the mod can read the force of your pedalling and apply it in game. Likewise, in-game terrain such as inclines and declines, as well as the coarseness of the road (or offroad) surface, is communicated to the smart bike. In other words, if you're unfit, you might want to stick to downtown Los Santos and stay well clear of Mount Chiliad.
(...)
GT Bike V is the work of modder Makinolo, and there's a video of the mod in action embedded below. It generates FIT files, which are compatible with cycling and running tracking apps like Strava.

Minecraft Dungeons pays tribute to Diablo with a secret cow level
https://www.pcgamer.com/minecraft-dungeons-pays-tribute-to-diablo-with-a-secret-cow-level/
Minecraft Dungeons is a action-RPG dungeon crawler in the style of Minecraft—thus the title. We said in our recent look at the game that it feels closer to games like Castle Crashers, or even Overcooked, but the most obvious comparison is to the king of the genre: Diablo. It came out today, and it turns out that the Diablo connection is more than skin deep: Minecraft Dungeons has a secret cow level.

Indie publisher Kitfox Games has all kinds of exciting projects on the horizon, including the graphical release of Dwarf Fortress and Boyfriend Dungeon. Here's another one to add to the pile, shown off today in the Wholesome Games Direct livestream—Mondo Museum, a museum management sim that gives off some strong Sims vibes despite being a smaller indie project.

Ooblets releasing in early access 'pretty soon'
https://www.pcgamer.com/ooblets-releasing-in-early-access-pretty-soon/
Hyper-cute creature farming game Ooblets will release in early access "pretty soon" according to a new trailer.
The tease was shown during the Wholesome Direct, a stream put on today by Wholesome Games, which is a collection of social media accounts riding the dramatic increase in use of the word "wholesome" that began in 2016 for some reason. (What in 2016 could've possibly caused a desire for idyllic escapism?)

Take-Two SEC filing hints at Grand Theft Auto 6 in 2023
https://www.pcgamer.com/take-two-sec-filing-hints-at-grand-theft-auto-6-in-2023/
Take-Two Interactive filed a Form 10-K with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission last week, indicating among a great many other things that its annual minimum contractual obligations and commitments for marketing in fiscal year 2024, which ends March 31 2024, will be more than $89 million, well over double what it will spend in FY2023 and FY2025, and nearly nine times as much as it will drop in FY2021.
It's a very big, weird bump—but why do we care? Because, according to investment analyst Jeff Cohen (via VentureBeat), the very steep, sudden spike in marketing costs could be a sign that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be out sometime in 2023.

Anno 1602, 1503, 1701 and 1404 are all being touched up with new History Edition re-releases, each updated and optimised for modern systems. Eternal Hope is a Limbo-like journey to save the soul of your beloved
https://www.pcgamer.com/eternal-hope-is-a-limbo-like-journey-to-save-the-soul-of-your-beloved/
I've never been much good with conventional arcade platformers, but I've got a real soft spot for games like Limbo, Inside, Trine, and The Final Station. Make your jump-and-run game slower, more visually impactful, and give it a story to tell, and chances are I'll be all over it. So I have high hopes for Eternal Hope, a new game being developed by Brazilian studio Doublehit Games that's set to come out in August.
