Also, I didn't vote in your poll because there is no proper option. There is no slight difference. They aren't in the same boat. Not even the same ocean.

So far they're in the same dingy.

Assuming it's the lack of third party support and install base that prompted this discussion: it's a clash of the first party software.

Who has the best first party games in development?

Probably the Vita but not yet on the Wii U. I want to give a year and a half to see how it's doing same with PS4 and 720.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

I love my Vita and I suspect I will love my Wii U when I get it eventually. I know Nintendo is having some problem right now, but I think they will eventually get somewhere. Unless of course they don't publish X in North America. In that case I will stop buying anything Nintendo.

The WiiU is a failure compared to the Wii

And

The Vita is a failure compared to the psp.

Ooh, i know this one. Whatchacallit... Lite Brite!

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Lol, you may need to stop 'whispering' and start doing mutha'ucker massive conference, try E3.

You are trying to be rational on a gaming forum, before major announcements about the a new gen? No, no, no, that's not good! Fortunately VGC finest has already brought down the level of discussion, and I feel more comfortable now :P

In a more serious note, I'd have to disagree with you. Don't let my sig fool you, but I think WiiU has a better chance of doing 'well'. However, a Gamecube situation is very likely. I'll refrain to go further in this, probably isn't the topic of the thread.

I do support your second part, we should move on. I find it quite sad when people instead of praising the things the like, just bash the competition.

I think that Wii U has far more potential, as it has yet to have its biggest titles, but I agree, both consoles are not going to sell much. Probably about 30 million for Vita and 50 million for Wii U.

Rest easy, they already confirmed it will.

Wii was there to save the day. It was an affordable console marketed toward everyone from kids to grandmas.

I think the big question here is that since Wii U isn't selling well, what will pick up the slack? PS4 or XBox 720? It's tough predict since both of these will be about $500. Maybe none of them will. The industry will be kept afloat by PS3 and 360 for a few more years until the others become affordable.

Didn't you forget anyone on your post? hint: starts with W and ends with U

No, I didn't forget anything. From the looks of things, Wii U will be another Gamecube. That's not necessarily a bad thing though.

I see PS3 + 360 being touch competition for Wii U since they both have massive libraries and a cheaper price tag. These will stay on the shelves for a few more years and by the time they're not, PS4/720 will be affordable to the masses. I really don't see how Wii U can compete with current-gen consoles. let alone next-gen ones. Nintendo has a lot of convincing to do.
