Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Official Legend of Zelda Thread: Breath of the Wild Arrives in 2022, Zelda Game & Watch This December

How do you want Nintendo to celebrate 35 years of Zelda?

Breath of the Wild 2 16 40.00%

Skyward Sword HD (you're in luck!) 5 12.50%

A full-fledged remake of an older game 5 12.50%

Ocarina + Majora remaster collection 2 5.00%

Wind Waker HD + Twilight ... 4 10.00%

Zelda-themed Switch console 0 0%

A brand new 2D Zelda 4 10.00%

Paper Zelda 2 5.00%

Other 2 5.00%

Total:40

The Game & Watch looks neat.

Hey, for those wanting more enemy variety, I'm sure we're gonna see some wild deisgns out there.

Also, ROFL at those Bokoblins camping on a Talus, straight up next level enemy camp there xD

Okay, obviously will be awesome.

The Zelda Game & Watch is nice, I'd say the perfect way to celebrate 'minor' anniversaries like this this year. Obviously, it will be mine. Funny that it doesn't actually have the Zelda Game & Watch game though. It's like they forgot it exists and then made a Link version of the Vermin game because they just didn't know what else to do. But anyway.

Also, this page broke, we're now all part of Wyrdness's post. That's weird.

The Bokoblins had Moblin horns.

Only thing missing from the trailer that should have been there are Loftwings otherwise great trailer.

Can't say I found this reveal particularly exciting, but though I didn't like BotW, I'm still hoping for sequel to be a better game.
I was looking forward for possible local coop option, but no hint of that so far...

I wonder if the islands are a way to make more challenge-based, objective oriented content in an open world setting since the sky islands wouldn't have to be connected like the grounded locations are.

I'm feeling November 2022 guys

Arceus comes in January and we have Splatoon 3 in the middle of the year

I don't see Nintendo releasing their IPs too close to cannibalize themselves. Zelda was the last announced, so probably will be the last released

Seeing the old enemies still play a big part is kind of jarring. A hopefully there's a lot more variety this time around.

They said it was "aiming" for 2022 so its definitely in the latter half of the year. Reminds me a bit of when Sony first announced Horizon Forbbiden West was targeting 2021, fast forward and they're still unsure whether it will make the end of the year.
