Games are rated for how FUN they are - not how glitch-free they are :) I played Fallout 3 on the PC and the 360 and both had plenty of bugs - but it still was fun as hell.

Why aren't there more people like you on this site? =[

because bugs and glitches can inhibit the fun factor of the game? especially game breaking ones.

i know you won't believe me, but i never had a game breaking glitch on Skyrim, i actually got on Uncharted, cutter got stuck on a fence and only his head and torso were there, (as in he is sunk under textures) and he kept jumping to reach me, it took me about 15 minutes  trying to figure out what to do but then i saw him like that, and turns out that i have to wait for him to open a door with me, so i was forced to restart the checkpoint.

i'm not saying i didn't have any glitches in Skyrim , (infact i had one while doing a video that i posted before, i got stuck in geomatry) , but i never got a game breaking glitch not even on the PS3 version.

Same with Batman , Zelda , Deus Ex and those other games that were released this year.

i believe you

Guess I need to go buy skyrim on ps3 which could not even allow me to play through it. When it works properly that's when a ps3 owner should buy it. Not make them wait till its fixed. If this was the ONLY Beth. game that had problems it would be easy to overlook but it keeps happening.

See now this has been my point all along. It's you guys who own a PS3 who haven't even played Skyrim that are bitching about these "game-breaking bugs".

It's all a bunch of useless drama and mostly untrue.

Is the PS3 version of Skyrim unplayable? NO

Does it have more bugs and problems than the other platforms? YES

But here's the kicker and by far the most important thing about videogames. Is it incredibly fun? And the answer to that is HELL YEAH!

I own a xbox 360 as well so I can get it for that If I so choose to. No one is going to buy a game they know has massive problems just to get the "right" to bitch about "game-breaking bugs"  Useless drama and mostly untrue? Nonesense

Is the PS3 version of Skyrim unplayable? No but hey if your frame rate drops to low what the hell right?

Does it have more bugs and problems than the other platforms? Yes

Heres some for you.

Are other Beth. games been known for there bad glitches? Yes

Do they ever seem to get a launch right? No

Can it still be a good game? Yes. Should we overlook legit problems that effect an entire platform? No.

Your still acting like the PS3 version is unplayable hence it shouldn't have gotten the GOTY award. Fact is it's very playable, there is a chance you will have some serious issues but it is rather unlikely.

These problems are getting blown out of proportion. Simply put the game is absolutely brilliant and not anywhere near as buggy as you guys make it out to be.

If you are going to talk about "VGA" which I assume is an acronym for "Video Game Awards" you should at least post the source, there are literally hundreds of these awards. This is a strange time to have awards, simply because the year isn't even over yet.

The only ones that really matter are the AIAS awards, IGN, and Gamespot's; and those haven't been held yet as far as I know.

He's talking about the biggest video game awards ceremony in gaming, it's like the grammy's and whatnot.

And this one really is one of the most important video game awards out there.

Spike TV? Are you guys serious? You are listening to something called "Spike TV"? =P

Or are you refering to something else?

I thought itd be obvious since today was the Spike VGA awards and everyone has been talking about it here on the forums.

The AIAS awards as specious at best and IGN and Gamespot are far worse; I pay attention to one set of awards, and that's the Game Developer's Choice Awards presented at the GDC every year. I rarely agree with them, but they're always interesting in that they draw on a much larger segment of the developer community than the AIAS does.

They lost all credibility when they announced MW3 as best shooter above both BF3 and Gears 3.

Do they judge these on quality or is it just a popularity contest?

well to be fair COD was the best on that list.

if they would have had more nominess, should it have won? NO

Killzone 3 should have won this catagory hands down

KZ3 failed from the day it came out of GG's womb. the direction GG took brought the fall on the series.

BF3 should have won

you said yourself you dont have a PS3.

anyway... battlefield had a terrible generic, short campaign. that did the opposite of what Battlefields are known for: Openness to the maps and humor.

Battlefield 2 never had a campaign >_>; and Battlefield isn't known for its humor, only the bad company spin offs.

but i agree with the generic short campaign.

i got skyrim on PC, yes its a good but it didnt deserve it. Batman Arkham City was hands downs the better game.
dont know about UC dont have a PS3.

then I took an arrow to the knee.

by the way, are these awards handed by vote? or just by the show itself?
i like the golden Joystick awards because its votes by gamers not officials and celebrities.
