Uncharted 2 will have the greater legs - it's a more timeless game, I feel.

Moreover, as the PS3 userbase expands beyond the 18-30yrs age range, GOW3 sales will not hold up as well as Uncharted 2, due to the mature content/rating of the former.

I was going to say that GOW3 might have an edge in that it's the third in that trilogy whereas there's still one more Uncharted to come, but tbh Uncharted 2 promoted UDF's sales more than it cut them off, so the same will probably happen to Among Thieves when the third Uncharted releases (though to a lesser degree, since UDF was a total sleeper hit whereas Uncharted 2 enjoyed greater consumer awareness).

i think uncharted will, if they were both released at the same time it would be much more interesting since the sales would be really close.

GOW3 opened better then UC2 in both region (huge in NA), but because of holidays UC2 may end up with more copies sold. GOW3 is still going strong in USA so it will be close fight.

i've rethought and i think it's almost definately going to be uncharted 2. For 3 reasons:

1.Uncharted 2 has been around for too long for god of war to catch up

2. New ps3 users who haven't heard of either franchise will most definately opt for uncharted2 since its a shooter and shooters are selling strongly nowadays.

3. Uncharted recieved a christmas holiday boost something god of war didnt get!
