ROFLROFLROFL @ FF13 haters

Do you know MAss effect 2 was LOWER than FF13 is right now when it was "5 weeks to go" for it

ME2 is launching at around 600K - 700K now

if we see similar increases for FFXIII, it could launch around 500K - 600K for PS3 alone (thats more than FF12's launch)

counting 360 it could be around a 800K - 1 Million Week 1 in NA alone

no counting EU sales

FFXIII will beat GTA4's week 1 for PS3 worldwide & become PS3's 2nd biggest week 1!

If not 2nd biggest, 3rd biggest guaranteed!!

Please don't even compare it to WKC!

It's 100,000 pre-orders below just the PS3 version of FF13, and FF13 has six weeks left.

Really? i dont think it is. for the simple fact one is well-known ww and the other is held up by word of mouth alone.

WKC's final preorder number is 40K

FF13's current number is 140K, and the final number will be around 300K, if not more, and that's without counting the 360 version.

I'll put it in a  nicer way

FF13's pre-order for this week were 19K

WKC's final pre-orders were 40K

so FF13 basically did half of WKC's total pre-orders in this week alone

{goes back to KH1's final boss}

Is Awakening for Dragon Age getting a retail release? Either way, I'm surprised it made the list.

Not surprised at all by Alan Wake when Remedy has spoken about or shown hardly any of the game since E3.

But they did say the game has a Spring release date. Considering this is supposed to be a big game for Microsoft in 2010 and the Xbox 360's strong attach rate, I expected it to chart by now.

 

I think I'll be more patient, though, and wait and see what happens near release. AW is guarranteed a first day purchase for me.

its done 360K in Japan

EU/NA combined could get it to possibly 600K worldwide

Uncharted 2 isn't doing 6 Million LTD.

But thats besides the point he's trying to make

Yep, it'll probably open up as a tie in NA or slightly higher on 360. It will be ahead WW on PS3 though.

It's going to be strange to see a war shooter doing "better" on the PS3 then the 360. I am interested to see how it ends up in a year. Generally the 360 has a stronger start off but PS3 games tends to have legs that continue after the first few months.

Well, the PS3 is a different beast now. More buyers of the console are buying these things. It'll continue to sway in PS3's favor, particularly in Europe.

I'm not doubting it. I'm just saying that I'm not used to it yet. :P It seems like WW Dante's Inferno, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and Final Fantasy XIII are going to show that the PS3 is becoming very relevant in multiplatform games. It's about time that it turned into an actual competition between the multiplatform titles.

Bioshock 2 is the only one so far thats showing a big gap

only if u count JPs 1st week for FF13

gta4 did 2.4m in eu and americas 1st week FF13 wont come close to that number at all

just face it FPS and TPS/action are more popular these days

 

i feel FF13 had big #s in JP 1st week b/c there was alot of anicipation for the game since it was delayed a few times and that it has been awhile since a FF game has been released

FF13 already has 1.4 million opening week from Japan. Another 1 million from NA + EU is possible. About 50:50, I would say.

But as Darth said, if not second, then definitely third: It needs to sell some 300k first week in the West to beat MGS4.
