Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo could buy EA when they're near Bankruptcy!

Nintendo should buy Take Two, fire the management at Rockstar New York and Sand Diego, if not elsewhere, and work on turning projects around.

Buying a sinking ship? naa might get dragged down with it.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Why are so many huge developers with big franchises losing money?
Has it got to the point where HD console games now just cost too much to develop and need such big sales to make a profit?

From all accounts, that's is what is happening. Part of this is also that games also take longer, which means publishers can be without big games in some fiscal periods, while the games in development just use up more money.

This is blatant flamebait.

I could see them buying parts of EA, maybe outsource the next Zelda to Bioware and put Shiggy in there as a grunt, have that man do some work for once.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Wasn't it awesome? Nintendo as a shitload of money, EA is going the wrong way and bankruptcy is possible.

Just for the sports titles it would justify the purchase!!! NFL and NBA exclusive of one console would secure the north american market.

Also The Sims would be a big hit in an exclusive form on a Nintendo console.

Maybe Crysis could be a new exclusive IP?

I'm pretty shure Nintendo has the money for this, now EA only needs to do some little more HD mistakes and some more Wii casual and "stylized design" failures and voilá...

THATS THE PLAn all along. Im predicting this since 2007 and my predictions are becoming more and more true. And its not only EA, other western and japanese publishers too. What would Nintendo was to wait like a tiger waiting for a man to come down thats stuck on a top of a tree

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

the only reason ea has those titles such has nhl is because they signed a lisencing agreement to procduce for all consoles. so if nintendo owns them, they still would have to make them for the other consoles. osit

I see MS buying EA Before Nintendo does.

If (when?) EA goes bankrupt, they're going to need to be totally eviscerated, as part of their problem is that, even after dissolving quite a few studios, they are still way too bloated. Nintendo might be interested in picking up an eviscerated chunk or two (like BioWare or Visceral), but not the whole thing. Let them go bankrupt first, and have to sort out the mess themselves.
