It's a shame they haven't brought Racoon Mario, Frog Mario or Cape Mario back they were awesome power ups. Frog Mario could swim so smoothly it was jaw dropping.

while the cape was cool, it was completly broken. I can't count the number of times I skipped entire stages with the thing. Same goes for the Racoon, but not quite as broken however it would have made getting star coins way too easy.

As for the frog suit, it got replaced by one of the best suits ever. The Penguin suit. It does everything. Shoot Ice, swim, slide on ice/water, walk on ice.

Anyways, I just competed the entire game, and you will probably get to the point of pulling your hair out on a few stages trying to get the star coins. However, it is quite rewarding to have 5 sparkling stars on my save file

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I'm also made up to see the return of the Koopalings. I thought Bowser gave up on them after failing him a few times but then I thought he still uses the Goombas and they're the biggest failures in his army.

It really is a lot of fun. The last 2 worlds were amazing and were chaotic playing with my brothers/friends.

Huge smile on my face the first time I played it. Hard to really define how awesomely fun and satisfying it is. Almost makes up for the first half of the year.

I don't think the cape was broken by virtue of being too powerful (it certainly was much less useful than the P-Wing in SMB3); what was broken about the cape was that it was so damm easy to get one.

It's easy to get any power up in any mario game. Just go to the first stage that has it, beat the stage, use the powerup where you need it. It was broken because you could skip entire stages.

It is all the way good my friend. All the way good.

A lot of people think its the best Mario game in like 15 years or even ever. I'm a little more hesitant to make any such claims, but it definitely still is quite good. I actually found more fun in a second playthrough trying to get all the secrets and coins, vs playing the main content of the game. Which, to me at least, vindicated my original feeling of the game. That being it wasn't as good as some past games in level design or originality.

That said, like I said before, its still a great game and worth hours of playtime. And still one of the best games on the Wii. Its just got a lot to live up to in terms of Mario games and personally, I had a more fun with Mario Galaxy and even NSMB DS when it first came out.
