Forums - Nintendo Discussion - New Play Control Ocarina of Time?Aonuma

Aonuma spokes about a remake of Ocarina of Time for the Wii,  your thoughts?

"Well, sometimes I hear claims from people who want to play Ocarina of Time on Wii, and then ask us to make a Wiimake taking advantage of the specificities of the console and its technology. However, whenever we considered a remake, we must also think about the background, even in such situations, this kind of period and time during which the game was played because Ocarina of Time, or any game elsewhere, whenever they want a remake in any medium, they have an emotional connection in relation to their gaming experience during this period and this enrivonnement individuals. "

"We can not take the risk of destroying such a link. Moreover, even if we took advantage of this advanced technology, we should review some aspects of gameplay and this is far from easy. In this regard, whenever we talk about these gameplay improvements, we try to introduce new games in development. So that the current situation and why we are not focused on a fierce determination to make remakes of titles Zelda. "

"But if I think I can do or if inspiration comes, and all this without it destroying the affection that people have with the original game, and can do some exciting innovations, maybe I could seriously think of a remake ... "

I thought the Wii version of Ocarina of Time was called Twilight Princess.

Nope. Stick to GC games as wiimakes since gc sold so little and N64 games are already on VC.

That is a Hell of a lot of "ifs".

Whoa, I thought I was in the minority when thinking this, cuz I agree. It might serve to water down the memory of playing the game, in its original time.

Yeah a wiimake of OoT would brought a lot of controversal.

However it would gives the Wii three Zeldas

Would love to see OOT redone with higher end graphics, but keep the art styling the same, same overall look to Link, etc..they could probably make Link look pretty close to the actual official artwork for OOT. I'd buy it, but not if they just added motion control and the same old graphics.

He's right, some things are best left as fond memories. Rather than WiiPlay OoT I'd rather they just incorporate things like the orcarina into what new Zelda game they are working on which is built with Wii in mind.
