no, he isn't, he's just hating because Greenpeace thinks Nintendo is the worst company ever to exist
Samus Aran said: Yet they base that on no information because they're getting none. Sometimes I wish it would be legal to hunt down Greenpeace and Peta. Especially Peta, I hate them so much. |
they base that on what company pollutes the enviorment the most and nintendo is #1 there

This is absolutely not true...
Nintendo don't want to give any insider's infos to Greenpeace... but when you look at their hardware without these " trade secrets" infos on such things as chemical particles, rare metals used, and how chinese factories are actually working, you notice two very important things:
1) Wii is a very good console when you look at its electricity use: 1/10 of the ones of PS360... this is a huge deal, as most of the electricity produced in this world is very bad for the environment, especially due to the use of coal...
2) The Nintendo's consoles are usually very robust, and last for a long long time: they don't have any RRoD, they don't go in the waste bin after two or three years, they're really well made... this is a very important factor...
I'm myself an ecologist, and a Greenpeace supporter for more than 20 years... but in this case, i don't agree with Greenpeace's politics: OK, Nintendo doesn't want to collaborate, but is this a reason to be last on such a list?
Most of the electronics produced in this world are not good at all for the environment, and when you look at some "junk towns" in China or India, where all these pieces of hardware are recycled "manually" without any safety, to find back some very rare metals, you understand that the situation is really horrific: mountains and mountains of electronic parts, millions and millions of tons of these are produced each year...
But Nintendo isn't the worst in that field, even if they don't want to go the "Apple way": Apple didn't care at all a few years ago, and suddenly improved its production to avoid the worst particles, for the environment and for the health of everyone... if Nintendo could just show they care, and show that don't have the worst factories in China, Greenpeace would be OK with them, cos their products are good...

No, they don't get any information of Nintendo, that's why they're #1. I've always found organisations like Peta and Greenpeace to be pathetic.
