I don't think Deadspace failed because it was a on-rails-shooter. My belief is that it was because it was not a fun on-rails-shooter.

I still don't think Deadspace failed because it was a on-rails-shooter. My belief is that it was because it was not a very fun on-rails-shooter. I think House of the Dead beats the pants off it. Hell, even Virtual Cop (Sega Saturn) looked more fun.
