Really? WoW? What about EQ????
Crash was a 3D platformer (although half the levels were more 2D)...
Like Slime said, Lara was influential, but she wasn't the first major lady character (Samus, for eg)
Really? Halo?

I'll give Dune II.

This is a shit list.

Crash also kinda sucked.

Mario 64 was like the original Mario Brothers in that opon release it became the gold standard of platformers that everyone else tried to rip off.

im sorry but there is no way i can agree with that mario 64 was the mario game that sucked so bad i stopped playing mario for awhile, it reverted years of development and fun and turned it into a buggy night mare with a horrid controller, and honestly lame game play. i would put sunshine above mario 64  as a better game. compared to super mario world or super mario brothers 3 this game is a huge letdown, and did not have enough graphical splendor to wow us like contemporaries on other systems. at best it was a mediocre mario game only being notable as the flagship n64  game  and first major mario 3d game. it would have been better to wait till they got a better hold on 3d on the system and put it out latter in the systems life, or  made mario 64 in 2d and  actually good with the skill set they had at the time. its in the running on my list at worst game ever.

Wow not a playstation exclusive in sight

What was Tomb Raider then?

I think it was on PC too

Wow really, I guess it's still a franchise that, back then was Sony's mascot almost.

Note how he didn't mention any Playstation exclusives.lol

Wow one of (IMO) least innovative game developers comments on games that are influential and everyone thought he would actually be open enough to include every game that appealed to everyone? This guy would not know what innovation meant if his girl friend hit him in his face with it. Don't get me wrong I loved Black and white, but it was in no way a perfect or ground breaking game.........I guess my real question is why does this guy garner such attention when he says anything?   To me he is the 'least' significant developer this gen next to the people who made that hannah montana the movie game (sarcasm).

@ Seece Tomb Raider was on Sega Saturn, too.

Anyway, respectable list. I wish he'd made a top 10.

Ok, anyone else wanna chip in? Maybe Dream cast, Wii?!

I agree with Super Mario 64, it's the only game on the list I have played in depth.

Halo and WoW are not innovative.... If anything, they're prime examples of 'refining' a system that's been around for years with better graphics and slightly upgraded gameplay.

Also, his comments about Tomb Raider, which make no mention of the (horrible) gameplay, could just as easily be related to Samus Aran.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

Its most well known as a PS1 game (look at the sales) & due to both those things I thinkt hey went exclusive to playstation with TOmb Raider 2

Even FF7 was on PC, but what platform is most recognised for/on, playstation

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Hell, (not trying to derail thread), I think Tomb Raider came out on the Saturn a little before the Playstation!
