^ Graphics disappointing? RIght......

It was great!

I'm not bashing FM3, it's a great game. But when you compare the released screenshots to the demo, I can't help but feel they're doctored...

Really?  They look extremely similar on my tv.

Not with me, but according to the FM forum mods, the demo had AA problems, and it's not the full build, so no problem after all.

I won't be buying a wheel. Just doesn't work with Forza. I'm only going to buy a wheel for GT5.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

How is that wheel? I was thinking about getting one.

Honestly, i tried the wheel for Forza 2...it felt a little odd, a little too realistic. I tried it for NFS Shift it felt too arcadey. PGR4 was awesome with the wheel...but this takes the cake.

The MS wheel, just like most game wheels only turns 90 degrees and not the 200 + degrees like real steering wheels do so games have to compensate for that and Forza 3 does it pefrectly.

Otherwise the wheel is very well built, sits confortable on your lap, or on a table with the mount, force feedback is awesome. You can't spend 90 dollars any better if buying a racing wheel.

In a lot of games, I use the right analog stick to adjust the view. But in Forza, that randomly flips the view backwards. That will take some getting used to. It's a bit frustrating for me at first (just one stage, a couple of lame cars), but it's somewhat fun. I'll have to play it a bit more.

The Audi R8, Porsche Flying Lizard and Ferrari California are lame cars??  Yikes.

Lame indeed...there are no Rustangs in the demo!

Anyone calling the Evo "lame" deserves to have their driving license revoked =/

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

I really enjoyed the gameplay especially since this was my first experience with a sim racing game. The only thing that had me dissapointed was the damage, maybe its cause I've gotten used to playing games like Grid and Burnout but I expected more than just scratches to the paint. I know that there is actual mechanical damage happening to the vehicle when I crash but I just wish the body of the car would deform as well. The only deformation I've seen so far was the back bumber falling off.

The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

My 2 cents

Negative(s):

Long loading times. The demo is loaded on the HDD and the load times are atrocious, I can't image this on a spinning disc.

Weak car damage, if I crash a Ferrari California going 110 MPH into a wall head first, the race should be over or at the very least be severe wreckage, not a couple of scratches on my hood and the ability to regain top speed.

Graphics are improved over Forza 2 but not the mind blowing experience I expected, maybe other racing games such as N4S, Grid, Dirt and GT5P have adjusted my eyes to the current generation.

Positive(s)

Nice menu layout, the ambient white are easy on the eyes

Soundtrack has that racing feeling to it, I get the vibe like I got when I played Ridge Racer 4 on the PS a while back.

The games graphics did their job...and were so good that i didnt even notice how good they are. Game was too intense for me to try to see how shiny my car is...

Sounds like you need to calibrate your analogue nub, have a quick google...Basically at boot time of a game if ur analogue isn't correct and doin things u describe u rotate it in all directions to its extremes...

Can't remember exactly but its documented with a search ;)

So you don't usually like racing games and got frustrated with this demo yet persevered til you got 4 hours out of it.

I'm impressed. I loved F2 and liked the demo but only played for 30minsthen went back to Shift.
So Kudos to you. (isn't that from a different game?)
