I don't dislike him. I just want new enemies this time around since he's pretty overused. Look how awesome Majora is.

Pretty overused huh

Soriku, Ganon and Ganondorf have been in... uh... six games in the past twenty years.

Six. Eight if you count the Smash Bros. series, nine if you count the Oracle games separately.

Ganondorf is not overused. It's only in the past ten or twelve years that his characterization has begun to be capitalized on. He's graduated from "one of the most legitimatly threatening enemies in video games" to one of the best-developed characters in the medium, good or evil or whatever. Part of what excites me about him showing up again is how they plan to expand on his character and the themes that he's been developing along.

Ganondorf Dragmire is the true king of evil. Probably the best villain ever as well! Sure, his weakness are sacred weapons like the Master Sword and the Light Arrow and his own magic (lol, noob), but still...!

Majora was just a silly representation of human fears, lies and other stuff. Explains why he's a mask too. He gets completely owned by Fierce Deity, the one that has no regrets and ultimate power in himself.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Now that I think of it, though, has there ever been a game with the Master Sword where Ganondorf/Ganon didn't show up and wreck the place?

I don't believe so.

Thank you sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar.

Does he get the master sword in the gameboy ones? I remember someone telling me that the Ages/Seasons ones weren't about Ganon/dorf...

Ganondorf's ressurection was the secret ending of those games, and you had to kill him.

It was botched, so he came back a mindless lunatic, but it was what it was.

What do you mean by botched?

Zelda was supposed to be the sacrifice to bring him back, but Link rescued her so Twinrova (Koume and Kotake) had to sacrifice themselves instead. They weren't as good in terms of being sacrificed so he couldn't be brought back entirely - only his body returned.

Perhaps it leads to the game being a hyper-prequel, a time before the master sword. Perhaps directly before or after Minish Cap in the line.

Can't be before, since he's wearing the green cap.  Minish Cap is how the tradition of the hero wearing the green hat got started.

I know that's the canon of Minish Cap but it might not necessarily be true in the canon of the other games. In Ocarina of Time it's just presented as normal Kokiri regalia, and in Wind Waker it's heavily implied that the tradition is based on the OoT Link, rather than any that preceded him.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say Zelda.
