So I was having a discussion my friend at Game his name is Mufasa, we were talking about upcoming releases and exclusives. The topic moved to Zelda Oot, I told him I had just started playing Oot and was enjoying it. But my friend at Game he knows all there is to know about gaming, so I asked him whether or not Oot was still the greatest game?

He explained that it was the greatest game for it's time, but that it felt outdated. He explained that other games had surpassed it but were not given the same recognition. He went on further to explain that Metal Gear Solid 4 had become the Greatest Game of all time, which really shocked me. My friend at Game is a huge Nintendo fanboy, to hear him say that was unexpected and refreshing.

I must agree that Zelda Oot was the greatest game but it's time to give the no1 spot to Mgs4. Oot has rserved its place in gaming history.

I have the zelda collection so I can play Oot and Majora's mask. I bought for less tha 15 Although ive been busy with studies but I start my gaming regime next week

OoT has aged well, but not as well as SM64 or Majora's Mask.
OoT is probably near the lower end of any top 20 list for me should I see fit to make one.

As we can clearly see , people are stating there their favorite games here. Greatest game should be defined by highest critical acclaim(for lack of any better way to pick it), and OoT still wins.

People yelling MGS4 are just plain wrong... this gen is not even over. OoT was great, and is still grate years later. It definitely won over the battle of aging.

The only ones really saying MGS4 are just sony people.

Time will tell.... but at this time, Ocarina is still the best game.

Like BringBackChrono said... this is not about just saying that your favorite game should be #1, because it doesn't work like that. Maybe Ocarina it's not your favorite game (I know it's not my favorite) but still, ooT isl recognized as the best game ever, and it will stay like that a lil longer.
