I didn't really read anything here, but tell my friends and I "PC gaming is dead" and we probably won't hear you, because we've each clocked at least 20 hours of TF2 this week already...

That depends - what are the specs on your PC?

PC gaming won't be dead until StarCraft 2 comes out.

PC gaming doesn't cost as much as say the $1500 price tag--you need a computer to begin with anyway. somehow people just put out a number and say it's the sum of the prices of a 360, ps3 and a wii plus some more. it's a ridiculous argument.

the Wii is an epidemic.

Any computer used for internet, spreadsheets, Word Processing, MP3, video is going to cost 300-400$ anyway. Adding another 400$ would make it a great gaming PC.

Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

you can get a great gaming pc for $700 range.(using 1950 card)

dont tell me it cant run crysis crap.
as many pc users include myself dont have a HD monitor, so I'm sure you can still run crysis with the max 1280x1048 setting.

but if you have a HD monitor that can do well beyond 1600x1200 then you'll need something around 1k range.

I've got 28...most of my friends have played over 20 hours by now...it's been just over a week hehe.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

PC gaming IS dead. All the best games get released on consoles, you don't need to install games, I can get a work PC + a gaming console for 4x less than what a gaming PC would cost, consoles allow 4 people to easily hook up and play offline, the online on 360 is standardised, the list GOES ON AND ON.

You can buy the best PC in the world, but it'll get VIRUSED UP (!!) and then will run ridiculously slow. With a console you'll get the best graphical and speed performance, every time.

I got my XPS for a little over a grand last year. And next year with tax money I will be getting a new XPS for about the same price. I use my computer a lot. It's worth that amount of money, for sure. I enjoy some games on computer. I play Wii way more, but PC is a good way to play.
